Will a tri-band range extender ( Netgear EX7500 ) be compatible with my dual-band router? ( RAX120 ). Thanks in advance.

No reason why it shouldn't but it wouldn't me a Mesh network, if that is what you are after.
You might like to try your question in the area where they talk about repeaters.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
