PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
Hi - I am really at a loss here. I have the AC1900 and everything appears connected but the 2.4GHz extenstion says "no connection." This happened suddenly as things were working perfectly before.
Also:
**I tried updating the firmware and its still occuring.
**All three lights on the extender are green (2.4, 5 and the signal bars).
**5Ghz is working just fine (both the connection and the speed) - I am getting a constant connection and high speed test results.
I need the 2.4Ghz to extend and work similarly as I have devices that only accept 2.4Ghz.
I have attached a photo of what I am referring to. Please help. Thanks!

Re: PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
the (no connection) that your pictures just means that nothing is currently connected to the 2.4ghz on the extender.
Are you using the single ssid/mesh function on the router? it does switch devices from 2.4ghz-5ghz or leaves them connected to the main router?
You can try disabling this and setting up a unique ID for the 2.4ghz and 5ghz on the extender. this lets you choose which devices connect to which ssid.

Re: PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
See attached iPhone connection to 2.4GHz Extender SSID - “no internet connection”. Yet connecting directly to the router 2.4GHz works as does directly to the router 5GHz as does to the extender 5GHz.

Re: PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
maybe try a factory reset and reinstall of the extender. Push and hold reset while its powered on fro 7-10 seconds. The lights should change when its been long enough. Then re-install it. Potentially if its the router causing the issues, you could try this with the router as well.
One thing you could do to check the radio would be to hardwired the extender to the router and place the extender in AP mode. If the radio works fine, its not an issue with the chip. It'd either be a firmware issue or the router causing issues. It wouldn't be the first router that wasn't assigning IP addresses correct on one band. Many isp routers are junk in my experience.
What router are you using?

Did you try the factory reset?
You could also try downgrading the firmware a version. I've read of the newest version having some issues for some.
If you downgrade, make sure to do it over a hardwired connection and to reset afterwards.

Re: PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
Hi my wifi range extender shows its connected to the router, however both 2.4ghz and 5 ghz shows no connection and its green. How do I know if my phone/ laptop are connected to the range extender and not my router. They have the same SSID and same wifi name. When going on to settings>>connected devices>>it doesn't show my laptop being connected to it. However hardwired to my desktop I get internet connection just fine. I even downgraded to the previous firmware (from V1.0.1.84_1.0.148 to V1.0.1.80_1.0.144). Any suggestion will be of great help. Thanks!

@rahmat_rahman @bdemaiffe suggestion would be to start your own thread and not jump on someone elses. it confuses whats going on with the OP. Its why thread jumping is part of the terms and conditions and starting your own is encouraged. We're happy to help, just start your own.

Re: PLEASE HELP - "No Connection" 2.4GHz AC1900 WiFi Range Extender
I had exact same problem. and i tried everything i could find. Now I hope I'm not jinxing myself and I know this sounds stupid. I used the same name as my wifi but just added _2G and _5G to the names for the range extender. and i could never get my connection to connect or if it did it wouldn't last. well just for the heck of it i changed the names of the SSID to just some random letters and numbers with nothing else. It has beenover 60 hours now with no problems, I've connected, disconnected over and over, let other things just run. no problems at all. I know this is an old thread but just in case.
