WN2500 corrupted firmware
I was having problems with intermittent connection- so I logged on and attempted to update the firmware. Now the power light flashes green which I understand means that the firmware is corrupted. How do I update the firmware if I cannot log onto the wifi network? I can't log onto the network because the extender isn't working. I am sure it is simple to many of you but I cannot catch on here.

Re: WN2500 corrupted firmware
Try a factory reset (pin hole button on rear of device) and then connect and setup as normal as per your manual. This should wipe all your settings and go back to the original firmware version installed, i.e. factory settings. This should result in a working device.
With nothing connected and power on, using a paperclip or similar, push factory reset for about 7 seconds, release and wait for the resulting reboot to complete.
If the last firmware was corrupted? The system would not boot correctly/fully, so that would certainly be a cause of you being unable to connect to the device. Going back to factory settings should resolve that. Then you can upgrade the firmware again.
Always update firmware in the order of release, don't just jump to the latest, but do it in order eg. 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.4 - and not 1.2 to 1.4.
Note the manual states;
CAUTION: Once you start the firmware upgrade, do not try to go online, turn off the extender, shut down the computer, or do anything else to the extender until it finishes restarting!

I hope this helps. I don't have one of these units.
It would be nice to know if it worked.
