[WN3000RPv3] device connected via extender gets wrong IP
Hello,
My router has its dhcp set to reserve some addresses for specific devices defined by their MAC
This allows to access some devices from the Internet (port forwarding to specific device) as well as letting a controlling Arduino to assign special privileges to phones with predefined local IPs.
Problem: When the device is connected to the router via the extender it DOES NOT get the IP per the routers DHCP reserved address table.
Any idea how to resolve this annoyance?
Thanks for your time

Re: [WN3000RPv3] device connected via extender gets wrong IP
my understanding is the extenders use a virtual mac that can mess up address reservations.
Have you tried setting a static ip address for the extender in your router?

Re: [WN3000RPv3] device connected via extender gets wrong IP
Thanks,
I tried with WN3000RPv3 set to a fixed IP.
Checked that it does get the address reserved for it.
Still, The IP served to devices are not from the reserved table but from the dhcp pool
This is annoying
