I have a mobile hotspot, with no ethernet port. I want to send a signal to a bunkroom through steel walls. There is an ethernet cable already in place. Can I set up a range extender near the mobile hotspot and connect a second range extender in the bunkroom, using the existing ethernet cable to connect the two range extenders? Will this send the mobile hotspot signal to the bunkroom?

Re: ex3700
Hi Panamax,
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the extender. May we know where is the ethernet cable connected from? You may still use a secondary extender without plugging in a cable to the 2nd extender but your wireless environment would be a big factor due to some wireless interference.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Oliver
