I connected my AC1200 range extender to my FiOS router yesterday and my iPhone and Mac had no trouble connecting to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on the range extender. When I tried to connect my Ring Doorbell, however, it only detected the 2.4GHz band, and couldn't connect to the range extender. It connected to my FiOS router just fine, but the range means that the doorbell has a poor connection. This is why I purchased the range extender in the first place. Has someone managed to successfully do this before? I'd hate to return the range extender, but I may need to. Thanks.Solved17KViews0likes3CommentsAC1200 R6220 ROUTER keeps disconnecting
I just plugged my router up about 2 weeks ago and from day one, it has been dropping the signal a few times per hour. It drops on 2.4 and 5g. I usually have 1 laptop and 2 cell phones connected to it, and signal is lost to all of them. I also have one thing plugged into it directly and that loses signal as well. It always comes back on within a few minutes or if I turn the router off and back on. Is there a way to fix this issue or do I need to send it back to Netgear?SolvedFailure to Connect (Windows 10)
So using USB tethering I was able to download and install the driver and the NETGEAR genie program for my computer (no CD drive) and everything seemed to be working perfectly, until I tried to connect to my WiFi network. Whether it was through entering the passcode or using "Push n' Connect," the connection attempt failed.2.9KViews0likes1CommentNetgear A6210 internet drops
So, I just got the Netgear A6210 network adapter for Christmas because I was having problems with my old one and it works great but the only problem is I'm getting internet drops randomly for like a second or two and then it comes back. It's hardly noticeable when browsing the net, but when it comes to gaming it can be really frustrating. I have already looked up if anyone else has had a problem with this but have seen nothing. I should note the drivers are updated and I am running the adapter on Windows 8.1. I'm not entirely sure if it's my computer or the adapter, I'm just assuming it's the adapter as the last one I had didn't have this issue. If anyone knows anything that could help I could really use it, thanks.55KViews1like45CommentsFirmware upgrade of AC1200 (EX6150v2) seems to have bricked device
It is actually a EX6150 v2 but that Model was not available from the drop down Logged in last night to change my config so the extended network had separate SSIDs from the router (D7000 AC1900) as it regularly stopped the Wifi HP printer connecting to the wifi. The Netgear software suggested upgrading to the latest firmware (sorry cannot remember what version) which downloaded to 100% and then applied itself to 100% and recycled itself. Unfortunately it never came back. The power light came back on but no configuration and no way to access. A router reset illuminates the row of Router and client LEDs in pink but once they extinguish only the power light remains on and whether I am in extender mode or Access Point mode I cannot find anyway to access the extender. It was originally sourced from the BETA program and had worked fine for 6 months or so. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could recover the device?4.3KViews1like2Comments29% power with N300, would it be better with AC1200 ?
Hi community ! I have installed a N300 WiFi extender but the connection is bad. I have only 29% signal power between my router and my extender ! If I replace the N300 for a AC1200, would I have a better connection between my router and my extender ? I can't place the N300 close to the router because it's a perfect place regarding the position of the device I want to connect ! Thanks for your answers :) Romain PS : Sorry for my bad English, I'm a french Netgear user ;)3.8KViews1like1CommentAC1200 randomly disconnecting
I'm about at my wits end with this USB adapter, for the last number of days since I picked it up. Pretty much from day 1 it's been randomly disconnecting from my internet, it's still connected to my usb but it refuses to connect to any wifi signal, unplugging it doesn't work, resetting my computer doesn't work, and when it does it lasts about a whole 5 minutes before it's back to square one. I've uninstalled everything for it then reinstalled it. I've used the cd download, and the download on this website but still nothing is working. I'm running on windows 10 and see a lot of these problems come from people using windows 10. Is there any fix for this? These things aren't cheap and to have it not work is infuriating. Thanks7.1KViews0likes4CommentsAC1200 Choppy connections, Had N600 Dual-Band, was fine
Well I had a WNDA3100v2 – N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter before and it crapped out on me. Looks like it just went dead from years of use. I went to the store and bought the current model that I'm using, the AC1200, I started to experience choppy connections online while gaming. The N600 was fine, no connection issues and only slowed down if other people were heavily using the net. Now my ping time in game is 10-20ms but i'm experiencing spikes where the connection is choppy. I look and I see no fluctuation of ping. Streaming videos is fine, downloads are fine. I installed the new drivers without the genie right off the bat and it was spiking. I then installed the genie to see if it would fix it. Did not work. Reset the router. Still spiking. I'm about to go return it. It seems like it's a hardware issue, weird how the lesser model outperforms.3.1KViews0likes1Comment
