Hello, Have written before but never had a reply. I need my LB2120 LTE modem to send me a message when it fails over to 4g but I cannot find a data plan that also will send a text so it would be great if we had the option for sending an email. Has anyone else found a carrier that sells a pay as you go data plan that will also send a sms message? Thank You, Troy10KViews1like5CommentsLACP on gigabit ethernet port for R7000P and above
Hello, The device is really cool but I can't understand why there is no LACP... Wifi is faster than the gigabit ethernet ports? Is it really ok for you? I really hope there will be a LACP version of this model, or maybe better... a new firmware with this option. It should be so great for home NAS to perform in good condition HD streaming. Secondly, is it possible to connect a 4G router (netgear AC810AC) on USB3 to make a internet "failover". It should be great too. Thanks for reading me. And thank for the goos job you make on these products. Kind Regards, Nicolas.9.7KViews1like0Commentsunlocked hotspot device capable
An unlocked mobile hotspot (and mobile router) device that is capable of GSM and CDMA and receive updates from netgear would be great. The thought of having to buy two or three mobile hotspot when switching cellular companies isn't ideal to me. I noticed the u.s. designed mobile hotspot devices are always locked to a carrier, but there has never been an unlocked version. There isn't a netgear designed hotspot for t-mobile, but can use their sim card in an unlocked AT&T hotspot device or any GSM sim card for that matter. CDMA cannot be used in another e.g. sprint sim card will not work verizon and vice versa. GSM will not work in a CDMA and vice versa. Too long didn't read; one mobile hotspot (and router) device that is both GSM and CDMA capable.7KViews0likes0CommentsLB2120 cellular band/ frequency selection
Regarding LB2120-100UKS. The Network selection and Data connection options are far too limited to provide any real use from the device. We require the ability to manually select not only the type of Cellular Base Station (3G/4G), but also the particular band/ frequency of the required base station. This is mandatory for our particular application, as in our location we get very poor, unacceptable download speeds when connected to base stations operating on LTE band 20, while we receive an adequate, acceptable download speed when connected to a base station which uses LTE band 3. See following link for a close approximation of what we require. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Mobile-Routers-Hotspots-Modems/Nighthawk-M1-selection-of-LTE-Frequency-Band/m-p/1547202/highlight/true#M5510 In fact a better implementation of the required function would also allow for any/ all individual band/ bands to be enabled or disabled, so that automatic selection could occur between the enabled bands, see following picture.6.8KViews6likes7CommentsAirCard 810s - VPN Client
Being able to configure the AirCard 810s (and other AirCards) as a VPN client would be great. I'd like the ability to: Have the option to automatically connect to the VPN when a data connection is established Have the option to send "All Traffic" over the VPN connection5.3KViews1like1CommentNighthawk M1 (MR1100-100EUS) allow text copy sms messages.
Please allow copying the text from SMS messages using the http://m1login.net site. I receive text in Italian and want to copy paste them on Google Translate so I can understand them. The Chrome page translate does not work on the Italian neihter.3.4KViews0likes0Comments[LB2120 successor] - Add a table that shows the signal quality/strength of all bands
Hello Add a table that shows the signal quality/strength of all bands, and not only the one selected by the modem. It gives us some information about the available signals in the area. That information is useful if you want to choose the right external antenna (multi-band vs single-band) Add a manual mode that allow us to force the modem to use a specific band (ex: 800Mhz vs 1800Mhz).2.9KViews5likes0Comments[LB2120 successor] - Add a list of preferred cell IDs to which the modem tries to connect first
Hello Add a list of preferred cell IDs/tower to which the modem tries to connect first (entries are added manually by the user). My LB1111 after startup connects automatically to a nearby tower which delivers very bad throughput, until the modem realizes 15 minutes later that the tower a little bit further is 10x more performant…I understand that the modem picks the cell with the best signal strength at first, but it’s not always the one which provides the best usable bandwidth.2.6KViews2likes0Comments
