Orbi ax6000 No Parental Control
Extreme disappointment today, paid a hefty price to upgrade to the Orbi ax6000 to find that it does not have circle (which circle confusingly states is available on Orbi systems) or any parental controls for that matter. Was upgrading from NightHawk r7800 due to wanting better parental control - the r7800 at least has the basic parental control feature - Orbi ax6000 offers access control, but ZERO PARENTAL CONTROL OPTIONS. Sadly, the Orbi will have to be returned. NetGear needs to fix the false claim that Circle is available on Orbi Systems to clearly state that Circle is only available on specific orbi models. It would also be nice to know if Circle features were in development for a future firmware release, but that information cannot be found either.Remote Management not working in the Nighthawk app
I bought NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router Combo (C7000) Certified for Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox. I am using it on the Xfinity Network. I enabled remote management on my router. It is in router mode. I installed the Nighthawk app on my phone and created an account but when I tried to log on it says that my model is not supported. My firmware version is v1.02.08. I have power cycled the router. Part of the reason I bought this was to have remote access and it defeats the purpose of paying $100 more so I could have this feature when I could have bought a cheaper one and it still did the same thing. I am trying to use the android version of the nighthawk app. I am connected to the 5G non guest version of the wifi. It is set for everyone right now till I get it working and http and https. I can log on locally using the Genie app and when I try to enable remote management it says not supported. I emailed ntgrapps_support@netgear.com 3 days ago like it said in the app forums but no response. I opened a ticket online and they responded that remote management doesn't work on the Genie. It's like they skipped the whole first half of my post where I said I tried the NIGHTHAWK app which is supposed to be for the Nighthawk router. I confirmed that it was listed as supported before I bought the product but I cannot get remote management to work. So now I am stuck waiting for them to read the same exact thing again and give me an answer based on Nighthawk router not working with Nighthawl app. Anyone else know why when I try to use the Nighthawk app it says my router is not supported? I have latest firmware, I have it enabled in router config. I have cycled power on everything and still says not supported.
