Hi to all, i have an issue with the torrent client speed of my NAS. First of all, here you can find the details about the configuration and firmware installed: Model: ReadyNAS Duo [X-RAID] Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.15 [1.00a043] Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7] Volume C: Online, X-RAID, 2 disks, 95% of 1846 GB utilized DISKS: Channel 1: WDC WD20EFRX-68EUZN0 [1862 GB] Channel 2: Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166 [1862 GB] I have the netgear default BitTorrent client and Transmission v2.84 installed. Both client have the same problem, the max download speed that i can reach with torrent is up to 2mb/sec (never more that), but if i try to download the same torrent with my Desktop the speed is up to 5-6 mb/sec. The Desktop and NAS have similar port forwarding configuration on the router. Anyone can help me to understand how i can speedup the torrent clients on the nas and what could be the reason for the 2mb/sec download limit ? I specify that the download speed is configured to unlimited on both client installed on the nas. Thanks.Setting proxy server on ReadyNAS...Possible?
Hi I am using transmission on my ReadyNAS duo v2 and I wanted to know if I can use a proxy server on my readynas. I am trying to use some torrent sites which are blocked via my ISP but can be accessed if I use a proxy server. Is this possible? Anyone had any issues with using TorrentDay with Transmission on ReadyNAS Duo? Thanks9.1KViews0likes6CommentsRN104 recent Update to 6.5.0 Deluge Download Folder Permission Problems
Hi All, Sorry to trouble you. But I am having some real problems with an App downloaded and installed from ReadyNas Xtras. The App, Deluge 1.3.12 has been fine after installing on my Netgeat RN104 (I am new to the NG Community, but an IT Pro and qualified Consultant, I am just struggling a bit as had a recent abdo operation, major too after a month I am still unwell! :smileysad:), all that aside. I will list the problems I have and the solutions I have tried: 1. After Update of 6.5.0 Deluge Stopped working, solved this but all my downloads were gone - they are still there in shares folders so that is okay. 2. Again as above, Deluge now will not download to specified folder even after playing around with Admin/Root/Folder rights in the RN104's GUI - when I try to download a new Torrent I get 'permission denied' error and the Torrent flags up as RED - Error. 3. I have tried SSH Login to solve this, but I am really not quite up there with CLI on Netgear ReadyNas's I know they are all much of a muchness, but consider my recent op and realise my brain is a little fried - I NEED HELP! 4. One of the ReadyNas Xtras Engineers, last time helped me out and logged in via TeamViewer, sorted the 'permission denied' problem and all was sorted. I thought I could do, what this chap did for me last time, but honestly I am struggling with this. So in conclusion, if anyone can help - point me with some code to give the download folder (of my choice) in my RN104 for Deluge to download to that would be great. If you can go one better and like ReadyNas Xtras, come in via SSH and sort it all, brilliant. Any and all help would be welcomed. Many thanks. :smileyhappy:Automatic for ARM
I recently purchased a ReadyNAS 202. One of the main purposes of upgrading from my Duo was so that I could use Automatic for BitTorrent. You can imagine my surprise, then, when I found that Automatic is compiled only for x86 devices, and the 202 is an ARM device! So, can Automatic be compiled for the ARM? I have no idea how to contact the developer or if he/she is still active (Poussin), but most of their apps are for all devices, so I wonder why this one isn't. I'd be happy to try to compile this for ARM if I had the sources.ReadyNas Ultra 4 sabnzbd connection issues
This post: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Legacy-NETGEAR-and-Partners-Add/Sabnzbd-performance-issues-Readynas-Duo/m-p/923339 applies to my RNUltra4, too. Has worked like a charm for many years - was able to dl via the ReadyNas on Monday. As of yesterday morning, with NO CHANGES BEING MADE TO ANYTHING (either router or unit) the unit cannot access external websites. I can access it via the LAN, and see listings / admin screens etc., but when it tries to connect to an external service (e.g. couchpotato / sabnzbd) returns server error. No solutions posted to the thread above. Hoping that someone may be able to help.....SolvedTransmission 3.00.6 problems
Hi all. I would like to ask for help from you all. My transmission is acting very wired: First - The installed version is shown in my admin page 3.00.6, but when I am in the application it is showin 2.82 Second - When I check available free space in my admin page it show 3.65TB but in the transmission 4.01TB Third - The newly downloaded folders doesn't get date when it is finished in the downloaded folder. The version of my Readynas 104 is 6.4.0 Printscreens:RSS with TRANSMISSION with PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Hi all, First post - stumbled accross this forum via a simple google search. I figured i'd do my bit to help anyone else who might of had issues with their NAS - just as i did. I recently bought a READYNAS NV+ V2 with 4 X 3tb Seagate ST3000DM001 drives. After my initial issues of drives being detected and after a re-sync and striping were performed, i did a reboot. Unfortunately i had errors appear on the disk during startup and when a volume check was ran agsint the disks the NAS continuously displayed errors when you were logged in through the admin console. I believed something was really wrong with the unit but didn't think that the drives were bad as the health checker on the drives through the Readynas console displayed they were OK. I had a long battle of self discovery (netgear) tech support were of limited help it was discovered i received 2 DOA drives (which i tested with seatools) - thanks alot seagate....but since installing the new drives the unit has been performing really well...touch wood. On to getting to know the NAS device I found the actual netgear remote app of limited use on the iPhone / iPad and proceeded to install filebrowser and opened up SMB on 445 - now im happy! Now comes my need for bit torrent. I've installed transmission but have found it is very limited. My bliss is to have my torrents be imported via RSS and to have push notification sent to my idevice using prowl (growl) - just so i know when my favourite shows have been added for download and when they are complete for me to watch - just as i do on my PC i have on now. Can anyone advise me on what i need to do or the best way to have this setup so it can all run from my NAS - this way i can retire my PC:) - im sure this has been done by others in the past. Thanks in advance, PeterQbittorent Update Problems

I have SSH access does anyone know how to disable the password ?SolvedTransmission Torrent Notifications Email/Prowl
Can someone help me? I am looking for a script that will send me an email and/or send a prowl notification when torrents finish. I have tried lots of different scripts and I can't get them to work. This is my code from the settings.json "script-torrent-done-enabled": true, "script-torrent-done-filename": “/data/Transmission/config/transmission_complete.sh”, This was the script code I was trying to use, but I wasn't working. #!/bin/sh /bin/curl -k -F apikey=[your Prowl API key here] -F application=Transmission -F event="Download Complete" -F description="$TR_TORRENT_NAME completed on $TR_TIME_LOCALTIME" https://api.prowlapp.com/publicapi/add and also this one #!/bin/sh /opt/bin/curl -k https://prowl.weks.net/publicapi/add -F apikey=[replace with your growl API key] -F priority=-1 -F application="Transmission" -F description="$TR_TORRENT_NAME completed on $TR_TIME_LOCALTIME" And this one: #!/bin/sh curl -k https://prowl.weks.net/publicapi/add -F apikey=[replace with your growl API key] -F priority=-1 -F application="Transmission" -F description="$TR_TORRENT_NAME completed on $TR_TIME_LOCALTIME" # /bin/curl -k -F apikey=[your Prowl API key here] -F application=Transmission -F event="Download Complete" -F description="$TR_TORRENT_NAME completed on $TR_TIME_LOCALTIME" https://api.prowlapp.com/publicapi/add I did see this post by the master (super-poussin), wondering if that still works, because the new R6 doesn't have the addons-config folder. http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=41756&start=45 Another question if anybody knows, how do I change the web client skin on transmission readynas, I have new skin files, I want to backup the old ones, but I cant find them. I can use SSH. Please help a noob out.
