I have had the same provider (Xfinity) and the same modem router for about 14 months. I had never had this problem before, but starting last week somewhere around 5 times a day the downstream light will start blinking, and the wifi will go down. This blinking will last a couple minutes, then the wifi will still be down for a minute or so after the light goes back to solid. Sometimes this will happen a few times an hour and sometimes it will be perfectly fine for 6 hours. I have tried reconnecting the coax as well as power cycling a few times but the problem still persists. Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue could possibly be? I have used Xfinity's online wizard which always assures me nothing is wrong, and I could call a tech but would like to be more confident that the problem is actually on the ISP side before potentially having to pay for a tech to come out. Any ideas / recommendations are welcome!Solved117Views0likes11CommentsNighthawk C7000v2 Freezing
Wanted to know if anyone else who purchased this cable modem router has had the issue of the unit just freezing up and it not working. Purchased this in 2023. Had it activated with Spectrum and the issues began. Was on with tech support both Spectrum and Netgear for a straight week. Decided to go back to my old Spectrum supplied modem with my Nighthawk WiFi... Last week, since I still had the unit as a paperweight, decided to try it again. Same thing happened and after a day put it back in the box. Since I no longer have support, has anyone had the same issue and/or has something been off with these units that someone has figured out? I have looked at the community blogs and seems that some people did hard resets, firmware updates to correct the issue but I have also done the same only my results have not made the unit viable.133Views0likes16CommentsNighthawk c7000v2 - Slower Internet After Factory Reset
(sorry to post this here, but i couldn't find the specific topic section for the nighthawk i have). Hello, I had to factory reset my Nighthawk in order to change the passwords on it. When it first came back online, it had no internet at all. After an additional reset and having Comcast send a signal to my unit, the internet has been absolutely abysmal. According to the google speed test, it went from Ultra Fast to just Fine, and Fine is not actually fine because half my webpages don't load. My computer is hardlined in. My phone which is connected to it via wifi, doesn't have a strong enough connected to load pages at all. I contacted Comcast, who determined my unit was the problem. Is there any way for me to get it back to where it was a few days ago? I do have the most current firmware on it. I also left it unplugged for several hours and still nothing. regards, Felix56Views0likes1CommentRandom disconnects: C7000v2 (Nighthawk AC1900)
Throughout the day, I experience random disconnects from the internet for roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute at a time. This will happen seemingly randomly, whether my computer is using the connection through ethernet, or my girlfriend is up late watching TikTok. I have contacted my ISP and gone through all of the regular troubleshooting, and I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction! My ISP is Breezeline, and I have contacted them repeatedly about this issue, since it has been ongoing since I got their service and the Netgear modem in April. They have issued signal resets, gone through the process of unplugging and reconnection my modem, and even sent out a tech a little over a week ago. The tech said that nothing was wrong on Breezeline's end, and the only thing he did was replace a corroded connection on the outside of the buildings. I attempted to show him the error logs, and he said that he didn't understand what the logs were saying. Either way, a tech came out and could not fix the issue. I'm not sure if this is an ISP issue or a modem issue, but I'm hoping that someone here can help me narrow down the root cause and solution. Below, I have attached my down/upstream channels and the event logs from the most recent times it occurred (twice in the last hour). Please let me know if you need any other information, and thank you in advance for your help! Is there a way with my C7800 Nighthawk X4S AC3200 to configure it to be only a router where I can plug an ethernet cable into one of the internet ports and allow it to connect to another modem and then broadcast the Wi-Fi signal for the internet that comes from an alternate ISP? I want to use this as a router and connect it to a modem from fiber optics that has an Ethernet converter to then plug an Ethernet cable to connect the two devices, but need to know how to configure the Internet ports to be a receiving port and then broadcast the Internet signal wirelessly. Previously, I had Xfinity/Comcast as the ISP, will I also need to change the internal settings to change?74Views0likes1CommentThe Latest C7000 Firmware Update
COX cable here in Macon Georgia just updated my C7000-100NAS with Firmware version v1.01.28. Now my download and upload speed are erratic. I can't even get my 30mbps upload anymore. HEY NETGEAR, ANYONE, is there a fix to this FIRMWARE update?5.4KViews0likes2CommentsNighthawk c7000 - NO AIR PRINT, why?

Have had this Nighthawk C7000 not quite 2 years (12/26/2015 date of purchase). This morning I woke up to see it alternately flashing the 3 LED's in green below a solid green power LED, and then the "display" would change to solid amber LED's. Can't connect to it via either WiFi or Ethernet. Are we dead & time for a new one?Solved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsNat Type Restricted PS4
I just got spectrum Internet and decided to get the c7000 so I can directly plug in my PS4 and still have Wifi for other devices. When I connect via wifi I get a nat type 2. When I try to connect directly through LAN i get Nat type 3. I also opened up all ports through DMZ and also tried port forwarding as well and no luck. I just wanted to get a device to have the best direct connection and have no Nat type restrictions. Please advise I feel like i just wasted $200+ dollars.2.3KViews0likes1Comment
