Sick Beard - ThePiratebay version can't update?
I hope this is the right forum to ask this question. I noticed that the 'ThePirateBay' fork of Sick Beard became available as an app on OS 6 for ReadyNas (the one more focused on torrents and less on newsgroups). After having installed it I can't get it to update. Whenever I try and force it to update I get an error. So I have two questions: 1. Is there a working repository for this version? 2. If so, how can I change this (if possible inside the tool itself. I'm having issues accessing my NAS using SSH).Looking for GIT to install on ReadyNAS
Hi All, I'm making the leap from centralised to distributed revision control and am wanting to install GIT on my readyNAS Pro (at home) and ReadyNAS 316 (at work). Has anyone seen a git add-on for the ReadyNAS ? There is a dead link for a git add-on on RNExtras but it is only for OS4 and .... well .... is a dead link :-( Trying to resist going subversion :-/ Any Assistance humbly sought. Regards, Mark
Request for OS6: Serviio 1.3.1 (Media Streaming Server)
Hi add-on developers, I have a community request to make Serviio (link: http://serviio.org) available for the ReadyNAS OS6 platform both ARM and x86. I had serveral NAS systems in the past and tried basically every Media Server available and in the end Serviio is the best one available. It has the best transcoding and streaming functionality available, especially for streaming to SmartTVs and game consoles (e.g. PS3). Please consider to make this add-on for ReadyNAS OS6! If I try to configure this server (https://192.168.1.10:14443) I don't have permission: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Hello All! I would love to see a SpiderOak addon be made available for the ReadyNAS. I spent considerable time assessing cloud back-up options and I landed on SpiderOak over Crashplan and Dropbox, namely: Dropbox is not encrypted and they will hand over data if lawfully requested in the US Crashplan uses Java and reading the config for it, seemed daunting SpiderOak has locally unecrypted, but cloud encrypted data. Lose your password = lose your data! Anyway, as a power user and not really experienced in Linux (last I used it was 1999 or so - ahhh RedHat) I spent most of yesterday trawling through the 'net to install it. I have been successful but it could be so much easier. SSH in install .deb file (installed as 'root' which is far from ideal - will need to change that in future) Setup machine from command line Install xorg to pass-through x11 via Putty SSH to Xming on windows desktop run SpiderOak and hope it fires up a window on the desktop Configure it shut it down via SSH create systemd scripts to install it as a service on boot If the configuration needs changing, root in, stop the service via systemctl and then run SpiderOak again via ssh x11 passthrough. Anyway, it works, and is happily uploading 500+gb up to the cloud. It would be fantastic if there was an addon which allowed for the configuration and monitoring of application via a web interface (like utorrent, or Dropboxmanager etc.) Here's hoping
New version of NZBGet
There are a lot of features that have been added to NZBGet since version 11 (July 2013) which is installed via the Apps. Is it possible to upgrade the app yourself? I'm a rather linux novice, I follow directions fairly well though. I attempted this myself prior to posting but I was unable to compile the C++ on my ReadyNAS. Any insight or assistance would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!
