Feature request: DNS privacy
While it's great that we can designate our own DNS servers on the routers, instead of just using the ones provided by our ISPs, it would be even better if you could integrate DNS-over-TLS and/or DNS-over-HTTPS into the firmware. This would allow us to query DNS servers (e.g., Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 or Google's 8.8.8.8) without our ISPs being able to monitor our requests, giving us confidentiality from our ISPs and anyone along the path between our LAN and the DNS server; without our requests being able to be changed, ensuring integrity in the replies; and without having to run a separate service or piece of hardware on our networks for this purpose, increasing availability, at least from a certain perspective, as not everyone has the resources or ability to run their own local DNS server capable of using one of these two standards.

Feature Request: Block or allow individual devices based on time schedule
I have an R7500 Nighthawk router that works beautifully. But one feature I miss is the ability to block individual devices based on a time schedule. There is a feature to block ALL devices on a time schedule, but not individual devices. Please consider adding that feature. For example, I want to block my 2 kids Ipods between 9pm and 7am on school nights, and 10pm and 7am on weekends, and allow all other devices. Unless I'm missing something, this is not currently possible

Hi, I have a lot of devices attached to my router. I try to keep things organized so I can see what is attached in the Attached Devices screen. Can Netgear please add the option to upload a custom icon so one can upload an icon given the current icon set is pretty outdated it seems. Either that or can you please add icons for: Amazon Echo Amazon Echo Dot Amazon Fire Amazon Fire Stick Ring Doorbell Roku Ring Chime Logitech Harmony Samsung SmartThings At the least, can you please add generic icons for: Thermostats Doorbells Smart Assistants (Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc)

Update/Refresh Netgear Genie Program
PLEASE update the Genie program. It is so slow, clunky, outdated, and ugly. It's really pathetic, especially in the vain of more expensive hardware. The user experience does not match the price. It's like buying a Mercedes but the seats are made of cheap cloth. If I spend hundreds of dollars on a top of the line product, I expect the software to be excellent. Other companies have much better software. Catch up.

Next Orbi Firmware must allow guests to see each other but not access Lan
The Orbi Guest Network settings has checkbox option for, "Allow guests to see each other and access my local network". These TWO options must be separated as other routers do. Others before me have pointed out how having these two options treated as one is a security flaw, and defeats the whole point of having a GUEST network. Guests may want to play games with other, use their wireless printer or connect their phones to Chromecast. They should be be able to do this without having access to the entire main network. I hope that the next firmware remedies this.

Orbi - Désactiver le wifi selon une plage horaire
Je souhaite désactivé le wifi d'un satélite et/ou du routeur + satelitte de mon Orbi RBK30 selon une plage horaire. Cela pour le couper la nuit. La quasi totalité des matériels d'autre marque propose ce service, je pense donc que netgear devrait le proposer également.

Put SSH and SNMP into Orbi's firmware
No modern router should be accessible over telnet but over ssh alone - this is such a big security risk! Also, please put net-snmp into Orbi's firmware to enable monitoring them via SNMP.

Hello to anyone taking the time to read this. I have close to a dozen netgear GS1xxE switches at my home and various family member's homes by now and swear by the things. Vlan tagging is a must for our various setups and these switches haven't disapointed yet. However , when it comes to configuring them, the fact one is incapable of selecting the vlan on which the things do their DHCP negotiating forces me to use fixed IP's. In essence this isn't all that bad. Orbi : planning Allumage-extinction
Bonjour, Lors d'une prochaine version de firmware, les développeurs pourraient-ils nous rajouter une fonction permettant d'éteindre et de rallumer automatiquement le réseau WIfi en fonction des heures et des jours comment cela existe sur de nombreux appareils ? La solution d'éteindre manuellement (OFF) l'appareil n'en étant pas une, tout ce qui ne se fait pas automatiquement ne sera pas fait régulièrement, à fortiori si aucun voyant n'attire notre attention. Si d'autres utilisateurs, qui sauf erreur de ma part devraient être assez nombreux, pouvaient soutenir cette demande, cela stimulerait peut être les développeurs pour implémenter cette fonction. Merci à tous.
