Good Day All! I have the Orbi Mesh Router. The Orbi AC2200 and I have the main router in the living room and a Satelite down in the basement. I have Verizon Fios package that's supposed to give me 1GBPS speeds and I'm not getting anywhere close to those numbers when I run Speedtest.net after I requested the change. I change from the 100/100MBPS up/down and I was getting good numbers, I was getting anywhere from 150mbps to 180mbps with the same setup. After I uploaded to the 1GBPS plan for $59.99 After I upgraded my plan which was yesterday the best numbers I could get were in the screenshot above. I don't know if the Orbi Router's can handles the speeds or if there was something limiting the routers to be able to get faster speeds. I have 2 different routers. One that was provided by Verizon Fios which was no where close to the numbers that the Orbi was getting so I purchased the Orbi setup and ever since I had the 100mbps plan I was consistantly getting over 100mbps up and down. My question is, is there something restricting the Orbi Routers from achieving a higher speed? Are the Orbi Router's capable of handling 1000MBPS upload/download speeds? Will I ever get those speeds or what kind of router do I need to get to be able to get those numbers? I like the mesh setup but ultimately I want to get the best service possible. Any advise will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any input.Orbi RBR50 and Sonos Playbar
I have tried to use one of the ethernet ports on the back of the RBR50 satellite unit to the Sonos Playbar and it brought down the satellite unit (lost its connection to the base). The base router was no longer able to sync with the satellite. The satellite was not getting an IP. Not until I unplugged the satellite it from the Sonos Playbar did everything function normal again. I am back to using the Playbar over wifi which works great. Has anyone had this problem?Orbi automatic restart on new firmware! 1.9.1.12
This morning, the ORB updated its firmware automatically and restarted again. I thought the system would usually prompt the user for update instead of auto update. Is there a feature not to auto update the firmware but allow user to confirm before updating? regardsOrbi won't reach garden room
Hi, I bought a RBK50 setup but putting the satelite in the garden room is just out of range. I have a wired connection to it, but was hoping the Orbi would reach so that I could have the simplicty of one wireless network name. Are there any Orbi options I could have to help get the Wifi extended to the end of the garden? At the moment I have a dlink that is acting as a WIFI access point but it's an old modem and is really quite painful to manage. How about using another router? I tried plugging the satelite in but seems the ethernet ports weren't capable of turning it into an AP. ThanksOrbi CBR40 Dropping Internet Connection Multiple Times Throughout the Day
Router/Modem combo randomly loses internet connection 2-3 times a day. I've had it for over 4 years and it has worked fine until a couple weeks ago. It randomly loses connection to the internet throughout the day. I thought it might be our Roku Ultra that we use for streaming but I unplugged it and used the TV to stream and experienced two drops today. Reseting the CBR40 fixes the problem and everything works fine for a while until it loses internet again and has to be reset. I've checked connections, reset the modem through my ISP, updated to the latest firmware, and repositioned the device and continue to have the same problem. Please help!Issue with CBK40 and XFINITY / COMCAST
I just purchased a new CBK40. The installation went smoothly. I unplugged the XFinity modem I was renting and used the Netgear app which was a breeze. I should have known it was a little too easy. Immediately ran a speed test with wonderful results. 176 DL speeds which was better than I was getting with the rented modem/router. I retruned the equipment to XFinity and when I got home, immediately started having issues with both connectivitly and also speed. What I find odd is that since I have run a number of speed tests which all come out almost exactly the same. 33 DL and 23 UL. I have spent hours on the phone with Comcast and cannot get any explanaiton or answers. I am not normally one who buys into conspiricy theories, but it was immediatly after I returnred their equipment. I also know it could be somthing in my settings, but I cannot figure out what it is. Any feedback and or help would be appreciated. Thanks!Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V I can't Set up with a router that is not an Orbi
My Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V cannot be configured as an Extender following the guide to configure my Orbi voice as an extender when I don't have an Orbi router: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBS40V-200/RBS40V-200_QSG_EN.pdf?_ga=2.77862166.32177553.1690885087-2033231847.1669722877 I have downloaded the app, I have reset the device in factory mode (also has the latest Firmware) and in the part where it says: "Locate and connect to the Orbi Voice WiFi network called NETGEAR_EXT" well it does not show, instead I see the the SSID ORBI44 configuration itself is called ORBI4 which obviously matches with the factory default SSID sticker that I can see below my OrbiVoice but even though I connect to that SSID, the app by default only searches for network NETGEAR_EXT, which is why it doesn't let me configure it at all. Has anyone had the same case and been able to solve it? or Does anyone know how to configure it with a non-Netgear router? Thanks in advanceSolvedOrbi Mesh System Compatibility with Arris
