8 TopicsLooking for Operating temperature Range for Orbi RBR850 Router
I have an RBR850 router that occasionally quit and had to be rebooted after waiting 10 min or so last summer. I am in Phoenix, and we had one of the hottest summers on record last summer. As we head into another summer season, I am wondering if I should move the router to another location that might be a littler cooler. Before I go to the effort of re-configuring my network (I have a cable modem, large switch for lots of wired drops as well as the Orbi Mesh WiFi), I would like to know the operating temperature range for this router. Does anyone have any data on the operating temperature range of the Orbi RBK850? Thanks!Orbi AX4200 Satellite with AX5400 router?
I have 2 Orbi AX4200 satellites (RBS752). Can I buy the Orbi AX5400 (RBK763s - with a router and 2 satellites) and also use my existing satellites for a ”larger” mesh network? So the short question is, are these two different Orbi-versions compatible and able to create a mesh network?Additional Satellite for RBK353
I have an Orbi RBK353 System AX1800 which is working fine but does not cover the whole of my house and I wish to buy an extra satellite. I have tried both of Netgear's suggested stores and neither have the extra product avialable and do not know when it will be available. I have tried UK Ebay and Google Shopping and not found anything. Have Netgear stopped manufacturing or can anyone suggest an alternative source (preferably UK) please?SolvedIs NAT loopback supported on Netgear Orbi RBKE963
Hi all, First time posting here, nice to meet you all. I want to purchase a Netgear Orbi RBKE963 or the B (black) version. I have one specific requirement: - Does it support NAT loopback? I have a Synology NAS with my applications hosted onto it, and currently, my current Virgin Media router doesn't support NAT loopback, so I can't access my WAN addresses on the local network. I have to use my phone (using 4g) to access the sites. This is problematic, because I have services that I want to access locally. As I was upgrading, I deemed it best to look into mesh networks, because of deadzones in my house, that I could eradicate. Two birds, one stone approach. I hope you can help me make my purchasing decision. Thank you.RBKE960 Apple iPhone/iPad Connection constantly drops
Hi, I have a RBKE963 w/2 satellites-great network speed. My wife's iPad Air (5th gen) and iPhone12 constantly lose the wifi signal. All the devices run the latest IOS. We have tried cold restarts on the Apple devices but it still happens. I do not have a problem with my iPhone 13 mini and our Lenovo Thinkpads are rock solid. I just compared her iPhone wifi settings to mine and they are identical: Auto-Join--ON Low Data Mode--OFF Private Wi-Fi Address--ON Limit IP Address Tracking--ON IPV4 Configure IP--Automatic Configure DNS--Automatic Configure Proxy--OFF Any ideas?? MarcNetgear Orbi AX4200 WiFi Mesh System (RBK752) doesn't boot after factory reset
Dear Netgear community, Could you please help me to understand the following problem: I bought a Netgear Orbi AX4200 WiFi Mesh System (RBK752) on the secondary market. It was used only for a couple of weeks, so basically it is quite new one. It had an admin password set and two secret questions, to which I had no answers. I couldn't contact the seller and decided to do a factory reset. I did everything according to the manual: I pressed the reset button with a paper clip until the small rear power LED indicator began to blink amber. After that, the main front LED indicator began to blink white (pulsing white), which meant that the router was loading. Approximately 30-60 seconds later, the indicator began to glow white (solid white), which meant that the factory settings were being reset: The problem is that the indicator keeps glowing white (solid white) and nothing happens. I thought that factory reset might take longer and left the router in this state overnight, but in the morning the main LED indicator was still on solid white. I tried several more times to press the reset button and repeat the process, but the result was always the same - the router freezes at the time of the resetting to it's factory default settings. Of course, login through 192.168.1.1 is not possible anymore. Please tell me what could have happened and if there is a solution to this problem? I hope the router is still working and can be restored. Did anyone else had the similar problem with Orbi routers? Thank you very much in advance.SolvedNighthawk upgrade to Orbi
I currently have an R9000 router and three EX8000 extenders. Just purchased an Orbi 960 router with two of its extenders. Here are some questions: I will have a spot where my existing third extender is. Should I: (a) keep that EX8000 in place (it primarily serves the detached garage), (b) replace it with the R9000 set up as an extender (rather than as a router), or (c) must I spend the extra $600 for yet another Orbi extender? (I am assuming the third extender is still needed - it may not be.) Any advice on making the setup easier? I've been told that is not possible to import settings directly from the R9000 to the Orbi 960, but I have more than 100 devices grabbing IP addresses and some with static addresses.Solved
