Qos

Hello I'm trying to enable qos on my router/modem. It is the C3000-100NAS. I believe I have the most current firmware on it. (2.02.17). It also has netgear Genie on it. From what I've found on the internet it seems I'm supposed to go to Advanced -> setup - > and then QOS setup should be under there. But it's not there. I've also tried looking underneath other tabs. Thank you for the help.1.1KViews0likes1CommentC7100V - No QOS settings feature ?
The new C7100V does not have the QOS feature to prioritize / depriortize certain devices. Comcast provides an upload of only 10MB in my area and I want to be able to deprioritze the traffic from my cameras to the cloud.. but I cannot and as a result I suffer from regular disconnections / slowness of my phone calls or my internet connection on my main PC. Requesting Netgear to get the QOS feature which has been there on all my previous Netgear routers.1.8KViews0likes1Commentn600 c3700-100NAS: Q0S or not?
I use this for home office wifi, and it was purchased specifically to replace the cable company's modem that I had paying to lease (Spectrum, formerly Time Warner). Generally speaking, it has performed well. I use Verizon's 'wifi calling' feature with my Samsung Galaxy S7 so that my calls process via the much stronger wifi network vs. the weak Verizon network service in this area. But recently I've determined that text messages sent to me by others sometimes do not arrive on my phone, and it *only happens when phone is in range of my Netgear router*. (That is, text nondelivery only happens when I'm at the home office. We've tested text on premises with the router operating and then when it's been turned off, and we've witnessed texts not arriving *only* when my Netgear is broadcasting.) I've been told that my router's QoS setting may be a factor... apparently, QoS sets which channels get priority or whatnot? Even though this router is relatively new and I presumed it was a higher quality model with more than just a rudimentary feature set, I can find no QoS setting. Can someone either describe how to find/adjust this setting on my modem and/or describe a workround that will enable texts to reach me while I'm at the home office? (Verizon service is so spotty here that doing without the device's 'wifi calling' advantage isn't an option.)3.2KViews0likes1CommentWhat should my settings be to improve my wifi VoIP connection (QoS settings possibly)?
Model: C6900 AC1900 Cable Modem Gateway (NOT the C7000) IP: Comcast Pro (100 mbps) I'm using the Obihai1062 VoIP phone with google voice, which is connected to the C6900 Gateway via the 5G wifi connection. Call quaility on my end is excellent (HD telephone) however callers report i'm choppy or they can't hear me from time to time. Open to suggestions on how to improve the VoIP connections. I'd perfer not to connect the phone via CAT5/7 cable to gateway if possible. I'm actually hoping to add another Obi1062 phone that connects via wifi as well. My wifi setting are still as out of the box with the exception of adding a password, changing the broadcast name and activating the guest network. I understand the QoS settings may improve the VoIP quaility. If so, what should I change? All of this is within a 600 sqft space. Current network connections include: 1x smart lighting hub (via CAT 5 to 1/4 LAN ports) 1x Sonos hub (via CAT 5 to 2/4 LAN ports) 2x iPhone (wireless via 5G) 2x cameras (wireless via 2.4) 1x iPad (wireless via 5G) 2x Sonos speakers (via wifi 2.4) 2x Smart DVD players (via wireless 2.4) 1x Smart TV (via wirless 2.4) 2x Desktop PC (wireless via 5G) 1x Printer ((wireless via 2.4G)2.6KViews0likes1CommentIs Quality of Service (QoS) customizable on CM600?
Hi, I'm intersted in buying a new modem (CM600) that will allow me to prioritize my VoIP devices (a Polycom handset provided by my employer and a Verizon femtocell/network extender.) I've noticed in my current setup that voice calls occasionally get disturbed when my family is streaming Netflix. They often have 2 concurrent Netflix streams running while I'm making calls. I've tried searching, and have only briefly seen mention of "Advanced QoS" on the high-end modem. However, I'm unclear if this QoS is adjustable to suit my needs. I just want to provide the IP addresses of my two devices, and tell the modem that anything from those two devices gets prioritized. I'd appreciate a screenshot of the configuration screen, if available. I searched the Users' Guide, but didn't find anything. Thanks, JohnSolved4.3KViews0likes4Comments
