I have attempted the TFTP method via CMD and am also getting the Connect request failed error. This is for a Netgear Nighthawk X6s R8000p that appears to be in some type of boot loop. The amber power light never does blink as stated in the documentation. https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP Is there any hop to recover this router or is it bricked? any suggestions welcome.51Views0likes2CommentsR8000P [DOS Attack: Fraggle Attack]
Netgear Nighthawk X65 AC4000 Model R8000P Firmware V1.4.4.94_1.3.56 When I view my Administrator Log I see reoccurring logs every minute [DOS Attack: Fraggle Attack] from source [my public ip] port [my port] date timestamp I’ve seen other posts about these DOS Attacks of different types. I’m not an expert, but from what I can gather it shouldn’t be possible to get a real DOS Attack that comes from my own IP. Seems like these warnings maybe false positives. I checked with my ISP and they seem to agree with this line of thinking, but the discussion was far from definitive. I was hoping someone could offer more clarity on my situation which seems different from other posts in that the source is my own IP. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks8000P Port forwarding issue
I have opened port 9100 on several IP's internally but when I try to access the port form the public IP the Port is not opened?? Screen shot below of my issue, I have one port for my cameras that opened no problem but my Printer ports even though they say they are open in the router are not?? What am I missing?SolvedStuck on Router Password Reset
I've tried login in to my R8000p router today and used the wrong password, then the right password with caps on by mistake. Not my finest hour..... 192.168.1.1 is now redirecting me to the Router Password Reset page. I set this up 7 years age, and have no idea what the answers were..... How do I get back to the password page? Ceri56Views0likes2CommentsR800P forward ports disappearing!!
Router: R8000P just purchased Firmware Version: V1.3.0.10_1.2.2 I have setup and reflashed this router 5 times now. It works great but for one thing. The port forwarding page will randomly show up as blank after setting up all the ports or even in the middle of setting them up. If you try to readd a port, an error of Port already in service will show up. Nothing resets it.... Even a reboot does not bring them back. The only thing that will work for a time is to reflash the firmware. Then the ports will show up but will eventually disappear. Different settings I have tried based on the crap ton of other people having the same issue: 1. Set WAN IP to static from DHCP. (Still the ports will disappear eventually) 2. Disable UPNP. (Still the ports will disappear eventually) 3. Reflash older firmware. (Still the ports will disappear eventually) Settings: A. All wifi radios are enabled. B. Dynamic DNS is setup. I have left this blank and it will still occur C. Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection is checked D. Respond to Ping on Internet Port is checked E. Disable IGMP Proxying is checked F. NAT filtering is set to open G. Disable SIP ALG is checked. What else do you need to know because this is totally unacceptable on a $400 router. After messing with this for 5 firmware reloads, I decided to save a config file. After a restore of that exact same config... They show up now but will disappear soon enough I am sure.
