Hi, Read some related threads and couldn't find a solution. I have a PC directory on the readycloud and it's synced. I was off site and needed to do some work. I accessed the file (.PSD) via the ReadyCLOUD and save 6 files to the same dir (.JPG, PDF & PSD). When I got home I checked my local dir expecting to see the new files there, they were not there.... I checked the ReadyCLOUD (from home) and the new files were there. Any ideas why they didn't Sync?? ReadyCLOUD says the dir/folder is synced.. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance! I have Windows 10 operating two computers. There was a recent Windows 10 update (July 2017) from Windows. I made the Windows 10 update to these two computers last week and the previous version of ReadyCLOUD for Backup and Sync on these two computers. The previous version of ReadyCLOUD (prior to 1.16.1297.525) was working just fine on the Windows 10 update. Today, my ReadyCloud App said there was a new update (1.16.1297.525) and I proceed with the ReadyCLOUD App update, however, during the install process I got the following message on both computers: "Error Opening file for writing" "Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\Remote\Bin\Incomservice.dll" Now what do I do to get past this Error in Windows 10 and get the ReadyCLOUD to install on my two computers?7.3KViews1like12CommentsAndroid Mobile ReadyCLOUD app battery drain
I just thought I'd mention something I have noticed about the new ReadyCLOUD app (ver 1.2.3) for Android. I use a Nexus 4 phone and last week loaded the app as part of my tinkering, after the upgrade to 6.5.0 on my RN312 (which worked flawlessly for me - thanks devs). I began to notice that my phone battery was dying a lot quicker than usual, but I thought it was just that the phone is 3 years old, and was trying to tell me it needs replacing. After checking what was causing the drain, I found that the ReadyCLOUD app had used nearly 50% of the battery in the last day! Even weirder was that this was not caused by data traffic (either WiFi or 3G), as very little had been used in the last 24 hours. I had not even used the app over the last 24 hours, and am almost religious about turning off all unecessary apps to conserve battery power anyway. So how can the app be sucking the battery dry? I have uninstalled the app and will see if the battery problem continues, to rule out anything else, but this is not good - batteryt power is sacrosanct. Am I the only one?7.2KViews0likes24CommentsDo I need ReadyCLOUD?
I will soon be receiving a new ReadyNAS which will presumably run the current version of OS 6. I will be using the device for sharing confidential data within my local network, but I have no intention of setting up cloud access through the internet and - least of all - using a cloud service run by someone else, including Netgear. This also includes the backup of the data on my NAS, which I will perform only on locally attached, external drives. From whai I have seen in the internet, you use ReadyCLOUD to set up and administer your OS 6 ReadyNAS. I assume that this means that you have to identify yourself towards ReadyCLOUD, and that your login credentials will be stored 'somewhere'. Does this also imply that I will be at an increased risk of intrusion into my ReadyNAS through the internet? Which of the operations performed through the ReadyCLOUD interface will make my locally stored data accessible through the internet? Which may cause storage of local data on the ReadyCloud server? Finally: Do I need to use ReadyCLOUD at all? Are there alternative methods for setting up and administering my ReadyNAS? Of course, I do not want to be paranoid about data protection. But I neet do make sure who will have access to what, and where pttential gaps are. And there is so little 'substantial' information available about ReadyCLOUD and potential security issues ... I logged into my readycloud account and was not prompted to migrate. Did I get the email early. I think I've got my self ready when you are. The only thing I found is I've got a few accounts I forgot about and for my sanity I'd like to find a way to take all the readynas accounts and pool them so I can clean house. I still have this account which for forever was my account and another [my.netgear] which I had to use for products and support and a few readycloud accounts that I forgot about ThanksSolved7KViews1like15CommentsReadyNAS Windows app does not work
The RAIDar app (6.2) correctly identifies my NAS, but the ReadyCloud app tells me that I have no registered devices. Also the discover page on http://readycloud.netgear.com/ tells me that I have no devices. The ReadyCloud app also crashes, saying "Too many automatic redirections were attempted" (This is Windows 10)Solved6.1KViews0likes12CommentsHow to recover deleted ReadyCloud accounts
So after the 3/30/17 ReadyCloud server issue, I was trying to recover the disconnected cloud user accounts. And this was prior to finally getting the email from Netgear explaining the problem 25 DAYS LATER! That important piece of the puzzle came on 4/24/17. So in the process I deleted the user accounts except for my own and now when I try to invite the users back from the NAS Admin page it tells me the device is joined to ReadyCloud, to invite users visit ReadyCloud. Upon going to ReadyCloud, I cannot find any way to invite these previous cloud accounts back. I can find the link to create a new account but the accounts are already created and it throws an error saying so when attempting that way. How can I add these users back to the NAS cloud user list list?5.3KViews0likes11CommentsReadyCloud users don't see content of shared folders
