I purchased a used GS110TPP which I need for its PoE features and performed a factory reset by pressing the reset button on the front panel for more than 5 seconds. I expected to be able to access the switch on http://192.168.0.239 or at least to be able to ping it. However, I was not even assigned a DHCP address, so my computer got a 169.254.x.x self assigned address. I then set my own address manually to 192.168.0.240 (netmask 255.255.255.0, according to the manual), but still cannot access the switch. Is there anything else I can do? I performed multiple resets with different times of pressing the button (below 2 seconds, below 5, over 5, over 10, over 20). Kind regards JohannesSolvedReadyNas DUO 2110v2reset network config ONLY
I am not sure if the ReadyNas Duo has static or DHCP. I want to reset admin and/or network settings (I can guess passwords if I can connect at least). However, I do not want to destroy data. Is there ANY way to connect and see the current IP settings? It's not showing up on DHCP so I believe it's hard coded to a 10/8 subnet ip. I have forgotten what it would be though. Thank you in advance.Solved1.9KViews0likes3CommentsReadyNAS "Admin Page" is offline
Upgraded to firmware 6.7.5 through the web interface and now the unit is not responing via the browser at all. SMB share is still working Tried Rebooting Tried Reset via reset pin on back and selecting OS Reinstall - same issue Raidar Diagnostic will not connect, but raidar says unit is healthy ! I cannot download the logs because login is not working, I know the password before someone suggests password recovery. Looking at USB recovery but cannot get the tool to recognise any firmware to make a usb for me. Format USB to Fat32 and put these in root Reboot machine and hold backup for 30 seconds. Machine says booting from usb, then after a few minutes, resets and does FW Upgrade. But the firmware is still 6.7.5 ?? How to do it? What am I doing wrong? I know the issue is network adapter related because "\\192.168.1.101\folder" is working fine, but "\\192.168.1.147\folder" comes up with network error do i want to diagnose? If I factory reset it with different disks in it, can I the set it to x-raid and put back the original disks without losing data? Will factory reset put the original firmware back in or will it use 6.7.5 ? I really want to get this working again :( Many thanks for any help6.3KViews0likes26CommentsReadyNAS 214 - Backup/Reset/Restore
I have a client with a nearly new ReadyNAS 214. He's had several issues with files being backed up to Amazon Cloud then deleted randomly off the device. He's worked with Netgear Support, and the Snapshots feature has recovered most of the missing files. Now we want to backup ALL the data, factory reset the device, and re-initialize the hardware all over again on the newest 6.7.5 firmware. Question: He has Snapshots turned on for the relevant Shares. If I turn on 'Make Snapshots viewable' can I effectively "backup" those Snapshots to an external USB drive and then Restore back to the "new" (re-initialized) system? I've been using my NAS for 3 years now and it's been great. Rarely an issue and only had to reboot a few times (when drive got full) Today, however, it has decided to die. When I went to use it, the screen on the front of the NAS was blank and I could not power down, so I pulled the plug and pushed it back in. On start-up, the screen went straight to the 'Boot Menu' and stayed that way. I have tried to hold down the reset button and scroll through the options, but it will not move from 'Normal' and I cannot even make it boot up at all. It appears to be stuck on Boot menu. I have tried removing drives (I have 4x WD. 2x 3TB, 1x 1.5TB and 1 2TB) but to no avail. Having searched high and low for answers, I am desperate now. Can I either, reset the firmware to allow me to boot again, or if the box is truly bricked, how do I recover my data? Thanks, MickSolved5KViews0likes8Commentsmac can't access shares on RN10400 and password lost/forgotten.
Hi, I have four shares on my ReadyNas and I can see them on SMB connection. Worked fine until yesterday. Now, when I click on any one of the shares, I get a message "The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Videos” can’t be found.". I have also lost/forgotten my username/password combination, so I can not access the device as an administrator. Want to do a reset (I think I have to), but am afraid to lose all data. When I connect with RAIDar, all for disks are showing healthy, but again, username/password is required and I can not do any more than observe. Any suggestions? I have new NAS 104 (name = 2(because I have it more)), I changed dynamic IP to static and then I updated FW. Here NAS crashes. It’s all the time in booting mode. I can get in boot menu and I tried normal boot, reinstall OS, factory reset. Some results … in small LED is written: booting. Any help will be appreciated.4KViews0likes9CommentsFS750T2 does not boot, all lights are green
I have 2 used of these switches, both with the same problem: When I put in the powercord all lights of the 48 ports are on (green). Nothing happens when I connect the switch to my modem. Is seems that nothing happens when I use the restart button and/or reset to factory settings button. Suddenly (I don't know exactly after what I was doing) I saw a switch in the SmartWizard and only 1 port was green. It looks like the switch was working fine and I installed the latest firmware. All went fine, but after I take off the powercord and put it back again the same problem appaers. Now I can do what I want, nothing seems to help to reboot the switch. Is there a certain reset procedure to use the reset and/or reset to factory button(s)? Do anyone have an idea why the switch is not booting complete? Ane other ideas are welcome, thank you in advance!Solved
