I have installed software version 1.0.0.36 as recommended on this forum, I have set the USB Speed to 3.0 in the Advanced tab, I have disabled the NetgearUSBSwitch process from Start-up, and probably a few other things too which escape me at this hour, but I still only get a slow 54Mb/s connection speed. After the installation of the software v1.0.0.36 the connection speed did go up to 144Mb/s and all was good, but the next start up of my PC and all back as it was. Any suggestion would be gratefully received as I'm just about to purchase another manufacturers Wi-Fi Adapter. Thanks in advance.Solved11KViews0likes5CommentsR6300v2 and Facebook Wi-Fi
Dear community, I just have bought Netgear R6300v2 to use it in my bar with Facebook Wi-Fi function. The latest available firmware V1.0.4.6_10.0.76 is installed, Guest access is enabled, but every time I click "configure" in Facebook Wi-Fi page, browser takes me to erroneous page: https://www.facebook.com/wifiauth/config?gw_id= After that Netgear Genie becomes irresponsive and only reboot helps to get again into Administration panel. Perhaps somebody can hlep me? I suspect that Facebook has changed the page url for this kind of configuration. What is the right Facebook page link to configure such things? Perhaps it may help. Router is phisically located in Latvia.Serial Number: 44015177012F1Solved9.6KViews0likes62CommentsRestart router while range extender connected
Simple question, but one I can’t find the answer to: if I restart my router will my range extender automatically reconnect? I’m experiencing slow internet and want to restart but I’m not sure if I’ll have to reconfigure the extender. Thank you!
Potete fornirmi supporto? I have the luxury of a fiber optic connection which gives me almost 1000 Mbps up and down hard-wired and which WAS giving me around 400 Mbps up/down wireless as well, but now it's down to around 100Mbps up/down wireless - but hardwired still at original high rate. My service is Giggle Fiber in Monrovia, CA, and they say it's a router issue because hardwire speed proves their end is OK. Accessing wireless with Mac Air, iPhone, PC. Wired with PC and iMac.Solved4.2KViews0likes4CommentsR9000 - Can't turn off WiFi using hardware on/off button
I have a Netgear Night Hawk X10 R9000 I purchased a couple of months ago, and I’m having some issues with the Wi-Fi button on the front......the 2nd button from the right, next to the WPS button. When I press and hold down the button for two seconds, the button lights up along with the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and the four antennas......but here’s where it gets interesting. When I again press and hold down the WiFi button (2nd from the right), the button light goes out, the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and the antenna lights go out, BUT.....the WiFi is still active on both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands (I still have WiFi Internet!!). Consequently, how could I still have WiFi Internet if the lights on the antennas are off, and the 2.4 and 5GHz lights are off also? The only way I’ve found to turn off the WiFi is to turn off the SSID broadcast for both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands in the router setup, but this is a real pain. I’ve updated to the latest firmware, but still no fix. NOTE: I’m NOT using the WPS feature / button; whereas, I’ve never got it to sync to any of my WiFi devices. Any suggestions or fixes?Solved3.9KViews0likes4CommentsC3700 drops connection intermittently
Hello. I have had my modem since installing service almost 2 years ago. I get intermittent wi-fi signal dropped on a daily basis. We never knew how oftern thi was happening until we started to stream movies. Prior to we only used wi-fi or cellphone/tablet usage so we assumed it was our internet signal. TWC/Spectrum has been out recently and noted they found no signal outtage emmiting from their servie and adviced my modem/router fimrware was outdated or not updaetd to the current version. Since I have logged in and found my modem/router automatically updates the firmware. I have tried changing Channels on both networks (2.4/5) and still no changes. I am also using a Netgear range extender WN3000RPv3, however notice the signal drops on both networks not just where i use the extender. I live in a rural setting and work from home. TP Link 1588 router, installed by local provider. Our address makes it impossible to utilize a large internet provider - we get 9.6 download and 1.5 upload - it's frustrating, to say the least. Would it be wise to utilize a Netgear Nighthawk router and wi-fi booster system? Other suggestions welcome!1.2KViews0likes1CommentConnection problems wifi
So yesterday I started having connection problems where only my PC would connect to the internet and other devices in the house could not connect. I have tried to power cycle and factory reset several times. All my green lights on the router are lit so I know I have internet. My ISP says everything is working. I tried changing WiFi channel and router name and password. Now I can't even connect on my PC, or I should say it's intermittent it'll come up for a few seconds and then go away. I can no longer login to my router admin page via Wi-Fi. Please help.1KViews0likes4CommentsHow to connect range extender to usrrname anf password WiFi
I have a range extender and I have used it at my house before easily with no problem. Currently I am away at college and the Wi-Fi only reaches half of my room so I figured why not being my range extender. The problem is at home all you need is a password. Here you need to add a username and password but it only gives me the option for a paraphrase Or in normal case where you put in the password. How can I make it work?983Views0likes1Comment
