Hi, I hope somebody help me. We have a switch netgear ProSafe GS748T, and suddenly, the leds that indicates if any port is occupied are amber, even if the port is empty, and they don't blink, all of them are in amber and fixed, but the funny thing is that all our pc's in our lan still have access to the internet and to the lan, what could be the problem? I will appreciate your answer. Thanks for all.SolvedN300 (EX2700) faulty connection & device link light
My neighbor and I share wifi using extenders and the main router is located in their home. I have an N300 connected to their NETGEAR R6300v2 2.4Ghz connection and the internet connection has become very slow and unstable. At one point it worked flawlessly. Something I noticed that is very odd is the device link light. All lights are green but the device link tends to turn amber and red when I use my iPhone 6 on the extender in the same room and the connection is slow and unstable. When I connect my 2013 MacBook Pro to the extender, the device link stays green but the connection is still slow. The extender is on channel 1 while the main router is on "auto". The main router has 6 devices attached. I've tried changing channels and updating firmware but the connection remains the same or gets worse. The main connection seems to work better when the extender is off. I've checked the NETGEAR Genie for the extender and it says everything is working properly. What could be the issue?4.1KViews0likes2CommentsStatus lights all flash amber except the internet status light and restart.
I've searched the database and can't find an answer to my problem. Randomly my modem (CM500), starting flashing all Amber lights. The power light starts of green and the downstream/upstream start to flash amber as if it's going to connect and then all lights except the internet light lights up anger and it starts all over again. I've tried unplugging all connections. I've tried a hard reset numerous times. I've tried updating firmware with a hard Ethernet convection and nothing works. Has anyone had this issue and have been able to resolve it? My modem isn't even a year old and sadly I can't locate my receipt to get a new one under warranty. I purchased the CM400 modem and a Netgear router last week for my new apartment. I set everything up as instructed, and called Comcast to activate my service and add the modem to my account. They said everything went fine, but it wouldn't connect to the internet. The power and internet lights are lit up green, and the down stream, up stream, and ethernet lights are all amber. No matter what I do, powering it off, switching outlets, anything, the lights never change. They all come on instantly once the modem is plugged in. Comcast thinks it might be the coax wall hook up, but I don't think they are correct, since as I said, whenever I unplug things from the ports, nothing changes. Whether the ethernet cord is plugged in or not, it's always amber. Please help me solve this issue. I have a chromebook, which has no ethernet port, so I have no way to directly connect to the modem. Thank you.3.5KViews1like1CommentCM700 - Network Activity LED
I just installed Netgear Nighthawk AC1750 Smart Router. (BTW...performance increase? WOW!) Prior to this installation, Network Activity LED was showing normal, green, flickering according to network activity, on my CM700-100NAS modem [just installed last week]. After router install, Network Activity LED now showing amber, flickering according to network activity. All other LEDs showing steady green before AND after router install. Not having any problems (of which I am aware, anyway), but wanted to make sure this is not indicating a problem. There was a troubleshooting chart included with the modem documentation, indicating meaning of the various colors on the different LEDs...but, I seem to have misplaced it.Solved3.3KViews0likes5Comments
