factory reset

I've performed factory resets twice now and when I attempt to reconnect to the "Netgear49" stock network, it rejects "password" as the password. I've power cycled and re-reset using the physical button at the bottom of the unit. Stumped. I've done a factory reset via the GUI to try and improve speed. Where I was formerly getting 200+ mbs wireless download speeds I now can't break 100 (I get nearly 300 mbs download speed when Ethernet wired to my ISP modem). If I reset the satellite through the pin hole on the unit will the satellite only reset, or would the GUI reset have taken care of that?Trying to setup WN3000RP after factory reset, but wizard isn't working and neither is mywifiext.net
Kept getting connected, but not internet connection alert. So I did a factory reset, but the wizard isn't coming up when I connect to NETGEAR_EXT and the website www.mywifiext.net isn't coming up either. I just want to set it back up!2.3KViews0likes1CommentC6300 Cable Modem Router Bridged. Will Not Factory Reset.
I can log in via browser at 192.168.100.1 (Default Bridge IP), Router Mode is NO and will not change to YES after Apply. Also, Factory Reset button reboots the router but nothing ever changes. Also tried a hard 30/30/30 to no avail. I have a feeling my ISP is up to something (tampabay.rr.com - road runner). Cannot see SSID either as 2.4Ghz is not lit. My Network Map has 300+ items from ISP. Has anyone ever heard of something like this before?2.8KViews0likes2CommentsPowerline Adaptor Corrupt and won't Reset
Hi Everyone, I inadvertantly entered the incorrect password for one of my XAV1301's when setting the encrption. The device accepted the password, but now I can't access it as it always says "password incorrect, try again", but there doesn't appear to be any way of entering a password, other that when networked to another powerline adaptor and it refuses to "factory reset" to reset the encription. The Netgear firmware upgrade tool can read the MAC address, but does not recognise it as a valid device. Is it dead, or is there some way to recover it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.6.6KViews0likes15Comments
