factory reset
16 TopicsRNDU2000 cant factory reset
Hi, I recently bought a second hand READYNAS RNDU2000 FM:V4.2.19. The previous owner told me it had a corrupt root error which could be solved with a factory reset. I have placed a recently formatted (NTFS) 1TB drive in to the bay, switch it on and confirmed there was a corrupt root error. I checked the forum and followed the suggestions for a factory reset. The unit doesnt seem to respond to the factory reset, no flashing lights etc. Now the NAS isnt even getting picked up by READYNAS RAIDar. Can anyone please shine some light on what has happen and a possible solution? Thanks in advance, MichaelFactory Reset, then invalid "password" on N600 C3700
I've performed factory resets twice now and when I attempt to reconnect to the "Netgear49" stock network, it rejects "password" as the password. I've power cycled and re-reset using the physical button at the bottom of the unit. Stumped. Last time I logged into my RN104, it offered me a FW upgrade to 6.8.0. I accepted. Something went horribly wrong and my NAS became unusable - completely. My data's fine due to having off-site backups. But, the RN104 is toasted - sort of. When powered on, it wants to (only) boot USB. So I prepared a USB recovery flash drive. It went through the process and powered off the NAS. I powered back on and nothing. It wants to only boot USB. Trying multiple flash drives didn't help. But, in one of those attempts, I neglected to copy the <firmware>.img file to the USB drive and the unit dropped into tech support mode (LCD says "DEBUG $PORT $IP Recovery"). I can use RAIDar to find the unit. It says: Model: None Name: readynasos Serial: NONE000200000 Status: Tech Support Mode Firmware: 6.2.4 IP Address: 198.162.29.190 (28:C6:8E:35:20:6A) Debug code: TELNET Mode I can login via telnet as root, with pw infr8ntdebug. From that point, is it possible for me to reset this whole thing to Factory Defaults or do an OS Reinstall? I have a disk drive I can use in it for this exercise (I'll upgrade to larger, real drives if it works). How would I go about that? Thanks!5.5KViews1like33CommentsReset satellite only?
I've done a factory reset via the GUI to try and improve speed. Where I was formerly getting 200+ mbs wireless download speeds I now can't break 100 (I get nearly 300 mbs download speed when Ethernet wired to my ISP modem). If I reset the satellite through the pin hole on the unit will the satellite only reset, or would the GUI reset have taken care of that?GSM7324 Factory Reset
I have obtained a used GSM7324 for some lab work and need to reset to factory default. I have followed some guides power down ... reset button for 10secs.....power on power down ... reset button for 10secs.....keep pressed power on hold for a further 20 secs. Neither has worked. Any advice please I don't have access to PC/Laptop with serial port so cannot use any console connection. Kept getting connected, but not internet connection alert. So I did a factory reset, but the wizard isn't coming up when I connect to NETGEAR_EXT and the website www.mywifiext.net isn't coming up either. I just want to set it back up!2.3KViews0likes1CommentC6300 Cable Modem Router Bridged. Will Not Factory Reset.
I can log in via browser at 192.168.100.1 (Default Bridge IP), Router Mode is NO and will not change to YES after Apply. Also, Factory Reset button reboots the router but nothing ever changes. Also tried a hard 30/30/30 to no avail. I have a feeling my ISP is up to something (tampabay.rr.com - road runner). Cannot see SSID either as 2.4Ghz is not lit. My Network Map has 300+ items from ISP. Has anyone ever heard of something like this before?2.8KViews0likes2CommentsSlow factory reset RN214 with 3 x 1TB drives
I'm swapping from a NV+ to a RN214. All old data is backed up on USB external drive. I put the 3 1TB drives from the NV+ in the 214 and started the factory reset. 24 hrs later it had only resync'd 13% per the front panel screen. Also when I try to access the 214 with Raidar, it sees it, also shows the % complete and 3 good drive but I cannot access the 214. Is this normal. At the rate it will be a week to complete. Ps I first tried it with 4 drives. One brand new 1TB drive and the 3 from the NV+ but it kept throwing off a boot operation error.2.8KViews0likes3CommentsGSM7328Sv2 - Factory reset
Wondering if someone can help, we have had this switch for a while and it has been sat in storage for some time. We no longer know the IP of the switch, what subnet it was on etc. After powering it on and letting it boot up, I connect a machine to it and cannot connect to the management interface. It just doesn't want to play ball! If I can get onto the switch and configure its IP, I will install this at one of our other sites, but at the moment I am having some real difficulty getting its IP. I have tried using the Smart Control Center Manager app and it is not detected. Unfortunately we do not have a serial cable to connect to it, cannot run Putty etc. I have tried using the reset button at the front but I have seen online this is for rebooting the switch? Is there anyway to just reset its IP at least so I can get onto the management interface? Any help or points in the right direction would be great! :)4.8KViews0likes1Comment
