I’ve been trying to help my dad set up his Orbi system but I keep getting stuck at the exact same point. The model number, I believe, is RBK652S, but I may well be looking at the wrong thing. On the advanced setup page it talks about checking that your wifi IP address is the right kind and I did and it is, and I know that the Ethernet ports on the modem work otherwise. The orbits router just absolutely refuses to connect at this point. Any thoughts?RBS50 satellite connect to RBR850 network?
I have been running RBR50 + 5 satellites for a while and it have been pretty solid. i just picked up an RBR850 and 2 RBS850 satellites, but range is not quite enough for the whole house, I need an extra satellite. I did a quick ‘chatgpt’ which suggested I could use the RBS50 to extend the range, saying that particular node would be slower, but it would at least give me the coverage. Anyway, I tried a number of times to connect it, without much success. On one occasion, I thought it had worked, but the SSID was still the factory default, not the same as the main mesh network. Although I could connect to it, it’s not really a solution Am I wasting my time ? Do I need to fork out for another RBS850, or can anyone suggest other things I can try? TIASolvedRS280S: Problems with Serviio & Roku Media Player.
Both Items in subject work fine in my old router R6900, but not with the RS280S. I can get a WIFI and hardwired signal to the destination (blueray player), but cannot stream anything. The Serviio status page rarely shows the correct IP it should connect to and when it does unrecognized is shown. Roku works but not the Roku media player. I have been trying to fix this for months with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.47Views0likes5CommentsArmor Subscription charged twice
hi just discovered a charge on my PayPal account for an Armor renewal that I already made back in May? Seems like they like to charge you again even if you have already renewed. Its the weekend so you can't speak to anyone and it seems impossible to raise a case for this on the website? Looks like I have auto renewal active on this account, can't seem to change that on the Netgear website? But in 2026 you would think some logic would be in play to see that the account was active until 2027 and not to charge me for it again? I will raise a case with Paypal, but any advice on this would be good cheers -tso533Solved67Views0likes3CommentsAny updates on guest network in AP mode
Hi, understand that Routers in AP mode in the past, that Guest network does not isolate from local network. Just wondered if this has been changed now as I have a spare Netgear RAX10 that is going to be use as a AP over a wifi bridge to my sons house and wanted to isolate his children to guest network only but his cable access needs local network access etc for Plex. thanksRBS350 ethernet problem
I have an RBS350 satellite which disconnects from the router when I plug something into the ethernet port. The system has an RBR350 router connected via its WAN port to the internet. There are 2 RBS350 satellites using wireless backhaul. If I plug an access point into the satellite ethernet port then that satellite disconnects from the router. It doesn't always happen straight away, but after a power failure I always need to power off the satellite and access point, then power up the satellite and then the access point in that order. I guess it thinks that the access point ethernet is actually a wired backhaul? Is there a way for force an RBS350 to use wireless backhaul, even if it thinks wired is available? Kevin[HELP] SXS50 satellite not pairing as mesh unit after factory reset – tried everything
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have an Orbi Pro WiFi 6 AX5400 kit (SXR50 router + SXS50 satellite) and after a factory reset of the satellite, it refuses to reconnect as a mesh unit. It only connects as a wired client when plugged in via ethernet. My setup: Router: SXR50, firmware 4.3.2.200, IP 192.168.1.233 Satellite: SXS50, MAC 34:98:b5:a7:b0:61 Background: The router and satellite were purchased as a kit and worked correctly together for a long time. After performing a factory reset on the satellite, the mesh pairing was lost and I haven't been able to restore it. What I've tried: Factory reset of the satellite (multiple times) Sync button method on both router and satellite Connected satellite via ethernet cable for an extended period to allow firmware sync Updated router firmware to 4.3.2.200 Tried adding satellite via the + wizard on orbilogin.com Tried adding satellite via the Orbi Pro app What happens: With ethernet cable connected: satellite shows a blue light and appears in the network topology as a regular client (Type: Client, interface LAN2) — not as a satellite Without ethernet cable: satellite shows a magenta light and cannot establish a wireless mesh connection The Satellites page in both the web interface and the app consistently shows "No Satellite available" My question: Is there any way to re-pair the SXS50 as a mesh satellite to the SXR50 after a factory reset? It seems like the mesh configuration is lost and the normal pairing methods aren't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
