I use NETGEAR WNA1100 N150 Wireless USB Adapter. Recently for about 2 months now it has been dropping signal. I have 2 WIFI's in my house hold ATT and Spectrum. ATT is fine, but Spectrum it keeps going down after 20-30 minutes. I have it as close as i possibly can to the router. It is in my bedroom as the wifi tower and router is in my kitchen. I only have so much room. I stuck my extender on the more close part of my wall to the wifi. I have updated, downgraded and even TRIED to mess with settings to make it work better. I use version 2.2.0.1 NETGEAR GENIE for my extender. I know it is old technology, BUT it has been working so good all these years I have had it. I have no idea how to factory reset it due to I don't see that setting AT ALL. People also say to put it on a channel with your WIFI's channel but I HAVE NO IDEA where to do that on either things. What do I need to do because I wanna use this until i get my ethernet cable. I just want it to last about 6 hours before a crash. Do I need to mess with settings? Upgrade the genie??? I have an RS280 on the latest firmware v1.0.6.16 and have been experiencing daily internet drops for the past few days. Both wired and WiFi lose internet simultaneously, and a reboot always fixes it. The issue returns approximately every 24 hours. My setup: Xfinity/Comcast modem in bridge mode with the RS280 as my router. I’ve already tried: confirmed latest firmware, modem is in bridge mode, issue affects all devices both wired and wireless at the same time. I remember seeing a previous thread where other RS280 users reported the same daily drop issue and Netgear provided beta firmware to resolve it. Hello, I live in a area with high interference and was doing latency sensitive task so decided to use 160MHz and DFS. Unfortunately the router I bought from Amazon is somehow region locked to Canada and I'm unable to select the higher channels (128+). I looked for Custom Firmwares or anything to help and found nothing. Netgear support also isnt that helpful. Any help would be appreciated, definitely won't buy a region locked router ever again.Orbi RBK760 firmware issues
i have a Orbi 760 with 2 satellites , recently i updated the router to newest firmware V6.3.8.11_1.4.83 , now all control functions not working , sleep time , pause internet or security options all not functioning , plus once i reboot i have to setup the network all over again !! i tried to downgrade to previous firmware but even that not working , i need a solution to revert back to earlier firmware that at least works when i reboot ! help pleaseWifi Extender in Metal Shop
Hi. I'm not very good with technology, so I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a metal building that is ~4800 sq ft. We ran cable from my house to the shop and connected it to a router. Wifi is good in the first section of the shop. Once you past the first metal cladded wall the Wifi decreases by 50% and then the last room (another metal cladded wall) has 0 wifi. I tried connecting a AC1200 Dual Band Wifi Range Extender and it won't connect. Is this wifi extender too weak? Is there another one someone could recommend? Hi: I was using the product with two satellites for couple of years without any issue. Yesterday detect a problem with some connection and start looking for the issue, so detect in the app that the router has not internet connection (please refer to the picture attached). I tried rebooting, and some advices that found on Internet but nothing solved. The weird was that some advices was connecting to the Orbi network and work... Still trying to find the solution I reinstalled the app, and also tried reinstalled a new Orbi configuration. But now, can´t finish the configuration since the app doesn´t find the orbi router. And still can connect and works some advices to the network (Orbi wifi)... So I don´t have the system in the app, can´t configure it, but the network is working. Any idea? Thanks for help
