Hi everyone, I’ve been using Netgear Wi-Fi routers for my internet connectivity for about two years, and everything has been running smoothly. But recently, after installing Magis TV on my smart tv, I noticed that the internet speed across my network has slowed down quite a bit. Although I installed it from the official Website. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could the app be hogging too much bandwidth, or is it possible there’s another issue with my router settings? Hi, I do have an RBR40 with 3 satellites. Until some time ago (can't quantify, sorry) I had the VPN working nicely. Now is not working anymore, I can't even enable it clicking on the box and then Apply. Nothing happens. If I refresh the page after the Apply it shows disabled. There is something I can do ? I need some help into figuring out why parental controls has stopped working. Even when I'm matching ip address to the correct laptop, pausing the internet via the app, the laptop continues to work. I've also noticed that the app has started to name my devices incorrectly. It'll show our epson printer as my son's previous laptop or roku express as his phone and our oven as samsung smartwatch . Also having this exact issue. I've tried Chrome, Safari, incognito/private browsing, clearing cache, rebooting both PC and the router... still cannot get past the S/N entry. I can't even log in to the app on my phone anymore. Tried to check for router updates on my phone through the app, and it just times out. I was also hoping not to have to do a hard reset, but looking more and more like that. I have only had this issue since I installed Netgear armor, Bitdefender. Space should not be an issue. Most people do not format their pictures correctly. (Meural never told anyone how to do this or why!). If you save your photo as a 1920x 1080 photo resolution, you will save lot of space. having a photo of a higher resolution takes up lots more space and MAKES NO DIFFERENCE when displayed on the Meural screen, since it is a 1920x1080 screen. I have photos that originally were 30Mb (30,000Kb) in size. exported with 75% JPG compression and 1920x1080 resolution gives me photos 300Kb-500Kb in size ! that means that 4Gb of storage should hold around 10,000 photos.21Views0likes1CommentOrbi System causing issue with EPSN app
Hello, I have an RBR50 with multiple satellites that has worked flawlessly for years. However, now with the latest crack downs on VPN's etc. I am having issues with certain apps, specifically right now the ESPN app. I spent close to two days trouble shooting, including on the phone with ESPN support and have narrowed it down to something within the WiFi network. The ESPN app for refence would not work on my SamsungTV, iPhone, AppleTV, or Firestick. However, if I disconnect my iPhone from the network it will work using cellular data. Also, if I remove my incoming ethernet cable from the Router, and connect it directly to the AppleTV it will work as well. Any suggestions? I do not see a option for VPN or proxy settings on the Orbi app. Thanks for any help in advanceSolvedRBS850 power light flashing amber
I've tried everything, satellite doesn't display an led, just flashes amber on the power light. I've tried factory reset, nothing. Even configured RBR750 it was up and working and couldn't find the satellite RBS850 (RBS750 works fine) Tried another power supply, what are my options here? Thanks.RBR760 recurring issues
I've got an RBR760 that is set up in bridge mode, behind the router of my internet provider (IP). The IP router is handling everything DNS and DHCP related while the RBR760 (together with a satellite) handles the mesh wifi in my home. The RBR760 gets a valid IP adress in the local network, is reachable with the Orbi app and everything is fine. For a while. In the past year the following scenario happened several times: - Wifi gets flaky with sometimes a disconnect - Orbi app doesn't see the RBR760 anymore - RBR760 Admin page is not available anymore (its address still responds to ping) - After a few hours of providing an unstable wifi connection, the internet connection is not available anymore and the RBR760 stops responding to pings. However its wifi network is still up and can be connected to. Also the IP router still sees the RBR760 device as online and connected. At this point the only option left for me is to give the RBR760 a complete factory reset and perform the first-time setup again, after which it will work fine. For a couple of weeks, maybe even months if I'm lucky. Then eventually the whole charade starts again. Firmware version is the latest available one: 6.3.8.5 I've tried several things so far: enabling or disabling Armor, disabling auto updates, disabling remote login through Netgear: it does not matter as the outcome eventually is the same. Does anyone know what could be happening with my Orbi? Why does it work fine for a while and starts acting up eventually?
