25 TopicsHow Many Simultaneous Connections Can The Orbi WiFi Possibly Support (For Running A Webserver)
Hello, I have been running a local webserver off of my Netgear Orbi system (via portforwarding). What's happening is that it will run fine for a while, then it will start to fail. The software seems to geerate no crash warnings, and I and their tech support have suggested that my web server is generating the maximum number of connections that my Orbi system can hande, causing it to cut the connection, though I am still able to visit websites when this happens. My web server can get up to several thousand connections to it at once, the sent data never too much too slow my connection down, the allowed connection speed is about 1mb per second. I am wondering, for this purpose, about how many connections to it is the Orbi system capable of handelig at once? Thank you.SolvedNighthawk MR1100 Opening NAT types for Xbox One
I just need someone to breakdown what I need to do to get an open NAT type. I'm playing on an Xbox One. My Nighthawk MR1100 feeds directly into my Xbox. Firmware is updated too. Also if you're going to ask me to do port forwarding please give a very detailed explanation of what I should do. Thank you very much, and have a good day.Can you Remote Desktop to Windows Server via Orbi RBR50 router?
Dear Community, I would be extremely grateful if a member could please answer this question and if it is possible please advise how to achieve. I have been struggling for two weeks and exhausted every avenue. I have a windows Server 2012 R2 that Id like to place on my home network and access away from home. I use an Orbi RBR50 with one additional satellite. The server is configured correctly for Remote Desktop as it was working when in a business location previously. I can also connect to the server using RDC locally through my LAN. I have enabled remote access in the advanced Orbi settings and configured port forwarding on port 3389 to the server on a static LAN address. I can see ports 80 and 3389 are open through a web checker and can ping the the WAN IP address revieving 4 packers back. However, when trying to RDC away from home RDC is unable to connect to the server login screen? Any ideas please? Shacksie70MR1100 – Nighthawk M1 Strict NAT on Xbox Issue
Hello, all. A few months back I purchased a unlimited data plan with at&t along with this hotspot in order to game on the Xbox One with it. So, I get on Xbox to find that I have a Strict NAT. I know many here would automatically point me towards a beginners guide on port forwarding but, that's my problem. I did that. I port forwarded everything it asked me to, I tried it both with a static IP and without a static IP. I reset my Xbox time and time again along with clearing the MAC address (After every change to the settings I the modem I made, I reset my Xbox and made sure to unplug it for at least a minute and drain the power block). Hell, I even tried to enable DMZ, knowing that it was dangerous and it STILL didn't open my NAT. My model of nighthawk has UPnP, but that doesn't work either for some reason. In the network settings of the Xbox it says the following: IPv4 NAT Type: Strict UPnP not successful xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP All services are available. I went to the link provided here and tried their method to make UPnP work. It didn't. I attached a screenshot of my attwifimanager page show what I did to port forward (I blocked out my static IP because I didn't know if it would be safe to share here) I would be grateful to anyone who could give me a STEP BY STEP for this model/at&t solution. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong because I've been trying to fix this for months.Nighthawk M1 does not port forward and cannot get help from netgear
So I have a business account with telstra on the extranet apn and they adminantly say that it is not behind a CGNAt and that portforwarding should work and it is the modem at fault. I have also confirmed that many people have got portfowarding working using mobile broadband on the extranet service. But the Nighthawk M1 will not do it. I have tried DMZ and ip pass through and setting up portfowarding rules. and to no avail I cannot get my ftp server to work........ Can anyone confirm that the portforwarding does work and tell me what I am doing wrong. I am ready to take a hammer to he router ....... I have confirmed that my ftp server works on a router modem on a fixed landline service by opening up the correct ports. Also is it true that you can not enter a range of ports into the m1 you have do it individually.WNDR3400 Can't forward both 80 and 443
I have a WNDR3400v2 router with firmware version V1.0.0.52_1.0.81 I'm trying to add port forwarding for ports 80 (to 8080) and 443 (to 8443). I can add either one individually, but when I try to add both, a "port conflict" error message results when the second one is added. Port conflict with other service. I've tried adding them as custom services as well, with the same result.4.2KViews0likes3CommentsPort Forward problems DC112A
No matter what port I forward in the settings, I will always be forward to some Netgear AirCard error page when trying to reach my server from outside. I connect to internet with a AirCard AC785 that is docked to DC112A. I have made the port forwarding in the Cradles settings. Please help, how to do to get the port forwarding work? Can not get Nighthawk R7000 to allow my Iris by Lowes hub to connect, plaese help!
I have just tried to install my Iris by Lowes gen 2 hub. I can not get it to register with Iris app or with Iris phone support. I have a netgear nighthawk R7000, have it wired in and I went in and set port forwarding for ports 80,443 and I "think" I did it correctly. I have reset everything multiple times and the hub just goes to flashing green (which means it is just waiting to be connected) and the app will not find it when I try and add the hub. Phone techs said to let it sit a day and call back but it has been sitting with no change so I figured I would post on here to see if anyone may have more insightSolved2.7KViews0likes2CommentsNighthawk X6 R7900 port forwarding only works partially
I'm using the Nighthawk X6 R7900 having firmware version V1.0.1.12_10.0.17. I am setting up a small web server on one of the computers that is wired into the nighthawk. The web service is using port 9000, and that is also the port that I am making visible to the outside world. When I try to access the service from canyouseeme.org, the web site reports that the connection timed out. However, the nighthawk log reports the incoming connection attempt. My server does not get the request. When I access the web server on port 9000 from another computer that is connected to the nighthawk, it IS able to access the web server, and the web server reports the connection. So, somehow the nighthawk is not forwarding the remote originated packet to the target server, though the log reports that it has done so. Actually, as seen below, the target server does see the attempt, but something about the forwarded TCP packet causes the http server to ignore it. Thoughts on how the external connection attempt might show up in the log, but the packets not get forwareded to the proper machine? Here's the entry from the nighthawk log showing the connection attempt from canyouseeme, org to the back-end server (192.168.209.90:9000): [LAN access from remote] from 52.202.215.126:58165 to 192.168.209.90:9000, Monday, Apr 17,2017 17:55:56 My server is running on a linux host.
