Hello, all. A few months back I purchased a unlimited data plan with at&t along with this hotspot in order to game on the Xbox One with it. So, I get on Xbox to find that I have a Strict NAT. I know many here would automatically point me towards a beginners guide on port forwarding but, that's my problem. I did that. I port forwarded everything it asked me to, I tried it both with a static IP and without a static IP. I reset my Xbox time and time again along with clearing the MAC address (After every change to the settings I the modem I made, I reset my Xbox and made sure to unplug it for at least a minute and drain the power block). Hell, I even tried to enable DMZ, knowing that it was dangerous and it STILL didn't open my NAT. My model of nighthawk has UPnP, but that doesn't work either for some reason. In the network settings of the Xbox it says the following: IPv4 NAT Type: Strict UPnP not successful xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP All services are available. I went to the link provided here and tried their method to make UPnP work. It didn't. I attached a screenshot of my attwifimanager page show what I did to port forward (I blocked out my static IP because I didn't know if it would be safe to share here) I would be grateful to anyone who could give me a STEP BY STEP for this model/at&t solution. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong because I've been trying to fix this for months.Port Forwarding HELP needed on SRX5308 for Arlo System
I am looking for a detailed procedure, step by step, on how to Open Ports 443 & 80 - I am totally lost here. I tried following the instructions for Firewall Protection / Inbound Rules (Port Forwarding) on Page 140 of the SRX5308 Reference Manual but I'm just not getting it. I just purchased (2) Arlo Netgear 5 Camera Systems but won't be able to view any video without these 2 ports Open Any help would be most appreciated10KViews0likes7CommentsCM600 + Router Port Forwarding
I'm trying to configure my router to port forward TCP 3389 so I can use Remote Desktop. I've tried two Netgear routers and both have the router blocking the forwarding effort. i see the router log showing an error (WLAN access rejected MAC error) so the router thinks it's protecting me from a spoofing attack when i use CanUSeeMe to check the port access. I've configured a number of netgear routers with port forwarding off of other devices but for some reason XFinity and this CM600 modem have me stumped. Any suggestions why the router is seeing any attempt to touch this port as an attack and blocking it? Thanks, PatSolved8.5KViews0likes9CommentsPort Forwarding issues
Wan IP address is 172.103.xxx.xx 1. Did enable "remote management" on port 8843 When I check if the port is open, yes it is. When I go to 172.103.xxx.xx:8843 from my home network I do get to the routers admin page. So its all fine, but when I go the same address from outside, the port is still shown as open but Im getting an error "The site cannot be reached" 2. I did enable port forwarding for port 1001 (internal and external), but I cannot reach this url from outside and when I test port it says that port is closed. Why is it closed when I did set port forwarding? What else I should do?Solved7.3KViews0likes27CommentsNetgear Nighthawk M1 Portforwarding Issues
I recently bought the new Nighthawk M1 4G LTE Mobile Router in an 80GB plan from Telstra, everything works well so far, I'm getting at lowest 50mbps, -land so far at highest ~120mbps, either way I'm happy with speed - however I cannot get the port forwarding function to actually work nor UPnP. I'm trying to use it to host a server from a computer. The computer has always worked fine however I need it to work on the Nighthawk M1. I know there's nothING wrong with the computer setup or the server setup as it works normally on any other Netgear router, but it won't work now. I have tried adding the ports in the portforwarding section, I've tried enabling DMZ, and it just won't work. I'm not sure why not. ANY help or advice is definitely wanted! Thanks in advance :)Can you Remote Desktop to Windows Server via Orbi RBR50 router?
Dear Community, I would be extremely grateful if a member could please answer this question and if it is possible please advise how to achieve. I have been struggling for two weeks and exhausted every avenue. I have a windows Server 2012 R2 that Id like to place on my home network and access away from home. I use an Orbi RBR50 with one additional satellite. The server is configured correctly for Remote Desktop as it was working when in a business location previously. I can also connect to the server using RDC locally through my LAN. I have enabled remote access in the advanced Orbi settings and configured port forwarding on port 3389 to the server on a static LAN address. I can see ports 80 and 3389 are open through a web checker and can ping the the WAN IP address revieving 4 packers back. However, when trying to RDC away from home RDC is unable to connect to the server login screen? Any ideas please? Shacksie70Is it possible to forward more than one port to a single port? (Or, how can I do this?)
Hi everyone, I have a service running on a port (let's say 9999). I can forward 9999 external to 9999 internal. But, what I would like to do is to forward anything that comes in on 80 or 9999 (externally) to 9999 (internally). Is there a way to do this with the R7000? So far, anything I've tried has caused it to complain that the port is already in use. Thanks in advance for any help.Solved6.6KViews0likes4CommentsPort Forwarding Problems on Netgear Nighthawk R6700
I've been trying to forward ports on my Netgear R6700. V1.0.1.16_10.0.30 I have an Arris 6183 modem. After playing around for several hours last night I managed to get it to work, but I had to check "Default DMZ Server" and then manually set an IP address. However, when I turned my computers on tonight when I got home from work, none of them could connect to the internet. I could not even connect to the router with the 192.168.1.1 login. I wound up having to reset my router completely to reestablish internet service. I'm now afraid to select "Default DMZ Server" box again. One of the problems I seem to be having is that my 3 computers are randomly assigned IP addresses each time I turn them on. I need these ports specifically for a program I run on my laptop computer. The ports I'm trying to open are 1700 and 1800. NAT Filtering = Open UPNP = On Under Advanced I've selected Port Forwarding tab. I have the box checked for Port Forwarding (not port triggering) and typed in 1700 for external and internal. And 1800 for external and internal. For Internal IP address I chose 192.168.1.2 because that's the IPv4 address that was assigned to my laptop last night. One of the problems I seem to be having is that my computers get randomly assigned IP addresses each time I turn them on.They vary between 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.4 I've tried testing the ports on canyouseeme.org but I always get the fail message. Any help would be appreciated.Solved6.4KViews0likes9CommentsNighthawk R7000 + Nest Cam
I'm attempting to get my Nest cam to work with the IFTTT app and/or LIFX lights. Nest has direct integration with both products. However its not working properly. Nest provided me the following to attempt to corect: Check your router to see if ports 9543, 11095, 80, 1935, and 443 are blocked. If they are, unblock them. If any of these ports are closed, you will not be able to use all the features of your Nest products. I've setup an address reservation and configured port forwarding for each of these ports as shown below. Wehn I use http://www.canyouseeme.org I show all these ports as blocked still. I haven't used canyouseeme previously so not totally sure what to expect. Since this wasnt working I have also enabled DMZ Server and mapped it to the 192.168.1.16 IP which is the same as the port forwarding rules. At this point I'm not sure if the ports are truely open and forwarding or not. Any suggestions of other things to try? Your feedback is much appreaciated.Solved6KViews0likes2Comments
