My Netgear Nighthawk X6 (R8000)'s power goes off incessantly. We discovered that in the middle of demanding work, the network goes out, only to look at the signal lights of the Nighthawk, it is discovered that the indicator lights are either totally out or the power light shows amber. I initially thought it were a power issue, but it was plugged also to a UPS just as the other router in the office. I waited again to have the Nighthawk to come up, and when it does after a couple of minutes, we (devices - one at a time) try to reconnect to the Nighthawk x6 (monitioring the now beaming lights). The connection takes longer time, suddenly the once beaming light goes out totally leaving the power light to amber. Heck, this is not comfortable. Could someone tell me know if you experience this also and how could it be solved.Solved9KViews0likes15CommentsNVX Business Edition RNDX4210 won't power on
I recently powered down NVX and removed cables and bays before unscrewing and removing sides and top covers and cleaning dust with compressed air can. I've done this successfully before, following a detailed video which I think was produced by one of the 'jedi council'. It was in-depth and concise and I originally had no problems; this time, however, after replacing everything and allowing time to settle, attempts to power up were negative. I've made subsequent checks but can find no solution. My only conclusion is that I may have damaged the hardware somehow with the compressed air. Can anybody solve my problem? Any help welcome. Also, if I need a replacement chassis, any advice and tips on where best to find one will be welcome. DarrenSolvedAndroid Mobile ReadyCLOUD app battery drain
I just thought I'd mention something I have noticed about the new ReadyCLOUD app (ver 1.2.3) for Android. I use a Nexus 4 phone and last week loaded the app as part of my tinkering, after the upgrade to 6.5.0 on my RN312 (which worked flawlessly for me - thanks devs). I began to notice that my phone battery was dying a lot quicker than usual, but I thought it was just that the phone is 3 years old, and was trying to tell me it needs replacing. After checking what was causing the drain, I found that the ReadyCLOUD app had used nearly 50% of the battery in the last day! Even weirder was that this was not caused by data traffic (either WiFi or 3G), as very little had been used in the last 24 hours. I had not even used the app over the last 24 hours, and am almost religious about turning off all unecessary apps to conserve battery power anyway. So how can the app be sucking the battery dry? I have uninstalled the app and will see if the battery problem continues, to rule out anything else, but this is not good - batteryt power is sacrosanct. I've had a Ultra 4 stored unused for the last few years. When connecting it to power today, the power supply died violently( blowing my 16A circuit breaker for the room). I took the power supply out, it's a "FSP060-40LE" 60W fanless unit. When I saw the connection bein a standard 20 pin, I connected a 500W ATX power supply I had lying around, and the Ultra 4 booted normally. Searching for a replacement power supply that would fit inside the cabinet I found some previous threads saying that the atx connector should be wired differently.. Is there different hardware versions for the Ultra4? The model no is RNDU400-100PES, TA 100-15335-01R8 My main question is, can I run it with the ATX power supply, insert some spare disks and use it for temporary data migration as intended, or do i risk the whole unit failing on me now?SolvedR6400 Weak Power, low range
Hi all I have bought the R6400 to reach all rooms in my house. Sadly, the router from the internet provider has more range and power even if it is standing a floor below. Furhter, the R6400 is unable to get through more than one room or into another floor. (Trough a wood ceiling!!, Not an army shelter) I have the Wlan power on 100 %. If I am right there are three possibilities: Either the router is defect or Netgear is promising ******* or I made a mistake. I would be thankfull if somebody know an answer. Model: ReadyNas NVX 4220 Firmware: 4.2.28 Issue: no power I had to move my ReadyNAS NVX and I powered it down successfully. I opted to have it do a scan on next power up. Later, when I had placed it in the new location, I plugged it in and then nothing. No lights on the front panel; LED was dark. Tried plugging it into different outlets but same thing though I did notice a red/organge LED was on somewhere in the back of the unit. (Yes I have a backup but due to moving around a bit I hadn't reconnected the backup in over a week, so getting this powered on to get back the data that accumulated in the readynas over that week is important.) This ReadyNAS is out of hardware warranty so no more included support from Netgear. However, from reading the forums, it appears this might be a power supply failure. I'm looking to purchase a power supply but not 100% sure what to buy. I found the following at NewEgg. Is this a reasonable replacement? SeaSonic SS-250SU 250W 250W 1U 80+ Bronze Certified APFC Power Supply - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151142&ignorebbr=1 Alternatively, might make sense for me to get a new ReadyNASas well. Which would be the most recent model where I can put in the existing drives and be back in business?SolvedHow to reboot the ReadyNAS OS 6.5.1
I have a separate post about rebooting the ReadyNAS through software (option is missing). This post asks: how do I reboot the ReadyNAS with the physical button? Online instructions say to press the physical power button once (after which the LED blinks), and then a second time. This does not work for me. The first power press never causes the LED to blink. This thing really wants to stay on!
