power
24 TopicsXS724EM just stopped booting/turning on
Short version is that came in to work and no connections. Found the 10GB switch with no port lights on and no fans running. The tiny power light blinks and the fans nudge a little with each blink but it is not accessible and simply acts dead. No clue how to address this but have reached out to support and exploring local computer repair stores. Working perfectly fine one day and dead the next. There was a MacOS update and being mostly a Mac based studio .....idk but thats the only difference in the day before and today.Replacing PSU brick did not solve V+12 Power Is Out Of Normal Range errors
Hi, I've been getting bursts of "V+12 Power Is Out Of Normal Range" messages for a couple of months now. Sometimes they last for a couple of days and then go away for a few weeks, sometimes they last for only a few hours. The unit has been connected to two different UPS units, without making a difference. I replaced the PSU brick (as suggested in other posts), but the errors returned. Not immediately though. And the errors show with both 1 and 2 disks in the unit. I'm running RAIDiator-x86-4.2.31. At this point I'm guessing that the PSU on the chassis itself is failing. Is that a fair assumption? As the subject indicates, I am wondering if this cable modem will provide a device (a point-to-point wireless bridge in my case) with power over ethernet (PoE) by plugging into the ethernet port in back. Thanks in advance.Solved3.1KViews0likes1CommentRN3220 unable to boot after power outage
I have a ReadyNAS RN3220 that is unable to boot after a power outage. There is no output on the console connection and I cannot get in to the boot menu with or without disks. The ReadyNAS does not show up in RAIDar. The network connection stays up for about 2 seconds before disconnecting and connecting again. I have tried reseating the RAM and unplugging the CMOS battery for a while but this did not help. The power light is blinking green. I have also tried the USB recovery but this does not seem to do anything either (the activity light on the memory stick blinks once at boot then stays off). The unit is under warranty but I was told that problems caused by power outages were not covered... Any help is greatly appreciated!1.6KViews0likes7CommentsNVX Business Edition RNDX4210 won't power on
I recently powered down NVX and removed cables and bays before unscrewing and removing sides and top covers and cleaning dust with compressed air can. I've done this successfully before, following a detailed video which I think was produced by one of the 'jedi council'. It was in-depth and concise and I originally had no problems; this time, however, after replacing everything and allowing time to settle, attempts to power up were negative. I've made subsequent checks but can find no solution. My only conclusion is that I may have damaged the hardware somehow with the compressed air. Can anybody solve my problem? Any help welcome. Also, if I need a replacement chassis, any advice and tips on where best to find one will be welcome. DarrenSolvedR6400 Weak Power, low range
Hi all I have bought the R6400 to reach all rooms in my house. Sadly, the router from the internet provider has more range and power even if it is standing a floor below. Furhter, the R6400 is unable to get through more than one room or into another floor. (Trough a wood ceiling!!, Not an army shelter) I have the Wlan power on 100 %. If I am right there are three possibilities: Either the router is defect or Netgear is promising ******* or I made a mistake. I would be thankfull if somebody know an answer. I've configured both of my ReadyNAS 314 (OS 6.6.1 and earlier) to send out email alerts via Gmail, and they have worked reliably. I get alerts for Power Off, Reboot, Backup status, Drive failure, etc. The ONLY alert I have NOT been getting is when the NAS is powered ON. This has never worked, in fact, for any version prior to OS6 6.6.1. I have not yet upgraded to the latest OS6 (6.7, I believe). I have a second NAS 314 that I keep powered off. When it gets turned on by an unauthorized person, I'd like to get alerted that somebody powered it on. The logs do show the Power On event ("System: ReadyNASOS background service started"). Is anybody getting Power ON alerts? How would I enable it?2.6KViews0likes2Comments
