I'm only forwarding one external port to internal port 22, however, the logs show various external ports forwarding to internal port 22. Those external ports have no entries in the "Port Forwarding / Port Triggering" section in the Orbi web admin page. Why is it allowing and how can I block? Here are some log entries (removed non-related lines): [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 37529 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:39:42 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 54174 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:39:30 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 3872 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:39:19 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 28671 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:39:07 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 13185 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:38:54 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 48296 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:38:42 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 24039 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:38:30 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 2803 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:38:18 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 64576 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:38:06 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 10676 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:37:54 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 45794 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:37:42 [LAN access from remote] from 183.91.14.197 port 45558 to 10.0.0.134 port 22 Monday, Jun 01,2026 16:37:30RBK852 Unable to connect to admin web/app
A bit like the issue with the RBRE960, I now longer can connect to the admin ui of my RBR850 anymore, and the app doesn't seem to find it either. I suspect the issue started May 23rd, when I got a notification from the Orbi app that "Your RBR850 has been updated to the latest firmware, V7.2.8.2". I'm still able to log on to the admin web on the satelites, and they both shows version 7.2.8.2 also. I do see that 7.2.8.5 is the latest version, and has been so since december, so kind of strange that it chooses the version before it for auto upgrade. I have, as in the RBRE960 case tried to restart, power off (removed for minutes). And when plugging the power again, the power led turns green, and then I get a white blinking led around the router. After a while it stops and the router routes traffic, but no admin ui or ability to connect the app. I tried the next step, remove power and all ethernet cables for minutes, then gave it power (still without ethernet cables connected). Same bootup sequence, blinking white lights for a bit, then purple (indicating no internet). Connected the fibre, and the purple light stopped and the router was routing again. Only missing the ability to admin the router. I was thinking about upgrading to 7.2.8.5, but last I tried something like this, the admin web needed to be available, so are there any way to push the 7.2.8.5 to the router with no web admin? Or are there any suggestions how to fix otherwise, except for factory reset? I do understand that last effort may have to be a factory reset, but I'd hate for that to happen, as there will be alot of configurations to be done to get it back where it is now.RBR850 AirPrint Issue: iPhone Can See Printers but Cannot Print (Apps Work, Windows OK)
I’m experiencing a persistent AirPrint problem on my Orbi RBR850 and would appreciate guidance from the community or moderators. Setup: Router: Orbi RBR850 (all satellites powered off for testing) Printers: Epson + Canon AirPrint models Devices: iPhone (latest iOS), Windows PC Symptoms: iPhone discovers both printers via AirPrint. When printing, the job hangs or fails silently. Vendor apps (Epson/Canon) print successfully from the same iPhone, so connectivity to the printers is fine. Windows PC prints normally. Issue persists even with only the RBR850 running. Troubleshooting already done: Rebooted router, printers, and iPhone Turned off all satellites Disabled IPv6 Disabled “Private Wi‑Fi Address” Disabled “Limit IP Address Tracking” Confirmed printers are connected to the Orbi network Confirmed Windows and vendor apps print correctly Despite all this, AirPrint jobs from the iPhone do not complete, even though the printers appear in the AirPrint list. I’m trying to determine whether this is a known RBR850 firmware issue affecting Bonjour/mDNS or AirPrint traffic, and whether a firmware rollback or specific configuration change is recommended. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. (I note there are many documented issues with Orbi and Airprint. I am very tempted to just throw this Netgear Orbi rubbish away and go with Eero or Asus.)My RBR850 has an unstable guest network
My RBR850 has an unstable guest network. The firmware is V7.2.8.2. In addition to the router, I also have 3 satellites. The firmware updates automatically, however, I see version v.7.2.8.5 on the internet. I have performed the update on the RBR850 but cannot update the RBS850. Could this resolve the unstable guest network? Or is there something else going on? My regular network works just fine.IPv6
Since replies have been turned off on all previous discussions regarding the IPv6 trouble introduced with version 7.2.7.15 and newer, I needed to create a new thread. Checking in on this once again, last mentions stated they were aware, were working on it, etc. I realize the 850 is old hardware but a properly working current firmware would be nice. Perhaps someone can share some insight on the delay? Thank you.Customer Support
This is the only format besides spewing on social media or sending an actual letter to the corporate office in San Jose that I can think to use. 1 of 3 Orbi's not working, all bought at same time. Chat person disconnected after 20 minutes of conversation. Next chat person went from 12:40 to 2:25 troubleshooting, sending screen shot pictures, everything under the sun with me and my husband who are just trying to get connected to work from home. Suprise....disconnected again! To say I am frustrated is a gross understatement. Horrid that a company with such a big customer base both home and business is so difficult to work with. I'm not a scammer, I'm not looking for 3 new Orbi's. I just want this one replaced if it is defective! Netgear is a billion dollar company, all I am asking is that you try and figure out this 1 Orbi without inconveniencing me any more than the 2+ hours I have already put into this!Orbi RBK852 – Wired via Satellite drops from ~700 Mbps to ~50–80 Mbps until reboot
I’m trying to figure out an issue with my Orbi RBK852 setup. I have gigabit fiber (Verizon), and when everything is working properly I get around 600–700 Mbps up and down, which is great. The problem is that after some time (could be hours or a day), my speeds drop significantly to around 50–80 Mbps. The only thing that fixes it is rebooting the router by going through the ip address and doing a reboot. My setup: Orbi RBK852 (router + 1 satellite) -Router is on the main floor, hardwired to the ONT -Satellite is on the top floor, about 2 floors above the router -My desktop is wired via Ethernet into the satellite (no WiFi on the PC) Important detail: even though my PC is wired, it’s still dependent on the wireless backhaul between the router and satellite. Things I’ve already checked: -Firmware is up to date -QoS is off -UPnP is on -DoS protection is off -Channels are manually set -Speeds are normal right after reboot every time So the pattern is: 1. reboot → ~700 Mbpsafter some time → 50–80 Mbps 2. reboot → back to normal This keeps repeating. I’m trying to figure out whether this is: - A wireless backhaul issue (satellite is 2 floors above, so maybe the connection degrades over time) but then why does it work perfectly for short time. Right now I am at 80Mbps after rebooting it 2 days ago. -Are there any other settings I need to change? ThanksSolvedBlocked devices when disable parental control
Hi when I disable my parental control on my router via the Orbi App (because that is the only way it can be done) some of my devices which were previous in my always on device list of parental control suddenly get blocked. When I enable parental control again they reappear again. I have deleted all profiles from Parental control and also completely removed all devices present in "always on device list" and then tried it again. Same issue arises. So it is not in the firmware because this has not changed, and I can reproduce the issue by toggle parental control on and off. How can this be fixed.
