Hi everyone, I’ve been using Netgear Wi-Fi routers for my internet connectivity for about two years, and everything has been running smoothly. But recently, after installing Magis TV on my smart tv, I noticed that the internet speed across my network has slowed down quite a bit. Although I installed it from the official Website. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could the app be hogging too much bandwidth, or is it possible there’s another issue with my router settings? RS280 running v1.0.1.90 The problems I'm having are frequent (typically daily) but are often different so it's a little hard to troubleshoot. Here are the types of issues I encounter: Users (2 of us) lose all internet but retain a wifi connection. Netgear modem shows internet and Xfinity confirms no outages. Reboot router and internet restored. One user device loses internet but not wifi. Usually one of our Windows 11 laptops. Only way to restore it is to reboot laptop and sometimes reboot router also. Users lose wifi and internet. When I check the Netgear app I get a msg that it can't find the router. Rebooting router works about half the time, and if it doesn't, than I unplug the modem and the router and reboot both which works 98% of the time. Sometimes I have to repeat the steps to get it working. This is a daily occurrence. The old Netgear router in this same house rarely had these problems. When it died I replaced it with this router and these problems started, but not right away. I do have a lot of devices connected (phones, ipads, appliances, etc.) I currently have 28 devices showing a green dot on the app. Is the router defective?144Views0likes9CommentsExtend my RS300 router

At the complete other end of the house, I want to extend signal to our chicken coops about 400 ft away - how do I do this? I have 2 Netgear routers on my private network, they are a R8000 and a RS300. Additionally I have 2 Hostnames purchased from NoIP.com. I can define either NoIP hostname in R8000 router, click 'Show Status' and get message "<xxxxxdns01.ddns.net> updated successfully at 01:13PM,06/04/2025" When I define either NoIP hostname in the RS300 router, click 'Show Status' and get message "Update failed. This is the first time i have ever had a problem with something where i have had to go to a community or forum for a issue but I'm one my last straw. just to start out i have a xfinity xb7 modem and a new rs300 nighthawk router for reference. About 6 months ago i began to have internment disconnections to only the wan port of my router. it would be up for a few hours 1 or 2 and then drop for 5 to 10 seconds before switching back and restarting the uptime back to 0. i tried everything you could think of when it comes to simple things like new cables, firmware updates, resets all the somewhat simple stuff to no help with the issue. I've gone through techs through xfinity had wires replaced from the pole outside straight to the modem but the issue i keep having with is I've tried 3 different routers and it just keeps resetting the wan on every router. everything else seems to work for the most part but I'm at a lost as to what to do at this point because everything on xfinitys end they say is fine. i use the internet all most all day rather i am playing games or streaming and this issue has been causing nothing but issues and i honestly just dont know where to even start anymore.51Views0likes1CommentCannot see Readyshare USB Drive connected to Nighthawk RS300 in Win 11

I have been using the Nighthawk RS300 for the last couple of months and I now constantly end up with dropped Teams and Zoom calls and general lag. I have realized that upload and download speeds are 30% through the RS300 than when plugged directly in to my Rogers Xfinity modem. Worse still, is that latency is dramatically worse through the RS300, with 158 down and 83 up. Are others experiencing issues with dropped calls and lag? Are there any suggestions to resolve this?
