Hi NETGEAR Team, I’m a recent owner of the Nighthawk RS700S (WiFi 7) router and, like many others in the community, bought this unit expecting full support for Multi-Link Operation (MLO) — a key WiFi 7 feature that your documentation and marketing reference. However, despite being on the latest firmware version 1.0.9.6 (released 7 July 2025), there is still no visible option or indication of MLO support in the interface. Here’s what the community has been asking: “Does the RS700/RS700S with the latest firmware support MLO?” “When can we expect a firmware version that enables MLO?” “Why is there no toggle labelled ‘MLO’ or ‘Multi-Link’ in the settings?” Given the repeated queries and lack of formal update, I’d appreciate your clarity on the following: Will the RS700 / RS700S receive full MLO support (i.e., simultaneous use of multiple WiFi bands/links by WiFi 7 clients)? If yes, what is the firmware version or expected release timeframe? If no, what is the reason (hardware limitation, certification, region rollout, etc.)? If the feature is still in development, can you provide a roadmap or status update for transparency? The router performs very well otherwise, but many of us expected the “WiFi 7” label to include MLO. Without clarity, customers are uncertain about whether the investment delivers the full promised experience. Thank you for your prompt attention to this on behalf of the broader community.57Views0likes4CommentsNOTICE - NEW RS Series model Firmware Updates Released (10-2025)

I own the RS 600 and it is completely unusable in my basement office. My phone always connects to the 6hz network. It shows a strong connection, but my teams calls always end up dropping. Yes, I could break each frequency into its own network, but that defeats the value proposition of the entire router. Just give us a way to disable 6hz or implement MLO.... Hello I need your help to solve the problem of lack of 802.1Q in RS700 which is necessary to replace ISP’s (T-mobile PL) Sagemcom Fast 5670 TMPL. The Sagemcom’s soft lets me change the wifi name and on/off DHCP only. No bridge mode or more sophisticated features. No fixed IP from ISP. ISP’s requirements: Router with 802.1Q Internet VLAN ID - 35 Connection type - PPPoE User name - 48998XXXXXX Password – YYYYYYYYYY My gear: ONT Leox LXT-010H-D https://leolabs.pl/ont-leox-lxt-010h-d.html Latest firmare (3.3.2L10), factory settings restored. And the Netgear Nighthawk RS700 with 1.0.7.96 firmare. I get O5 on ONT, the PON light is green. The data entered into the router, looks ok. But when the router is connected to the ONT, its LAN light is blinking red and the router’s INTERNET light is solid amber what means that the cable is plugged in, but there is no internet connection. I have two Netgear switches with 802.1Q: GS105 and GS305 if it helps. Is there any possibility to make it work?64Views0likes5CommentsRS700 Issues
After updating my Nighthawk RS700 router’s firmware to V1.0.9.6, several devices stopped connecting, and the device name database became corrupted where device names got assigned to other devices randomly. I understand his is a known bug that Netgear has yet to resolve. Despite spending hours with Netgear support and opening multiple cases, their only fix was to downgrade the firmware to 1.0.7.96, which resolved the connectivity issues but not the device name database problem. Support offered a trial firmware, but communication stalled and my cases disappeared from their website. Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution by any chance? When I spoke with support they said there was no trial firmware that addresses this problem. I wish I had taken a screenshot of the message sent by a Netgear representative in response to a case that I had opened with this issue.306Views0likes9CommentsGL.INET 5GHZ get WIFI 7, RS700 it doesnt (wifi 6)
My travel router GL.INET Slate 7 looks like it works much better than my RS700 on firmware 1.0.7 Both same channel and WPA3 My Samsung Galaxy S24U gets Wifi 6 if it connects to Slate 7, but it connects in WIFI 6 connecting to the RS700 (same channel as slate and both in WPA3), clearly RS700 has an issue in firmware with 5ghz... Slate 7 costs 1/4 of RS700, has better coverage and better protocol WiFi 7 handling, unbelievable.89Views0likes9Commentswifi7 connection problems with iphone 17

okay - I am no expert when it comes to networking but I’m also not a complete newbie. I have never had issues likely current rs700 related ones. Setup info: access control is on i have separately named 2.4 and 5 WiFi networks (both broadcasting) When I do internet speed… it’s blazing fast - latest 1246down 37up I do have an old r9000 attached to an Ethernet port but have disabled all WiFi on it and it is set to bridge mode. (I’m using the plex server trusts built into the r9000.) Here’s the issue: 1) I log into the rs700 just fine 2) I can see that the r9000 has an up assigned and is allowed on network 3) I try to login to the r9000 but I get the screen shows that it’s blocked 4) I then go back to the rs700 but I can’t get in because get err connection window I then have to go power cycle the rs700 or wait a while for something to happen to let me login. Also… most devices have a fixed Ip85Views0likes2Comments
