Hello everyone! I just wanted to know, if it is possible to turn off the LEDs of the switch (GS108v4)? I'm planning to use the switch in my Home Cinema enviroment and it would be annoying to see the flashing lights of the switch during network usage such as Netflix. I've read about the ProSafe Plus Switch Utility but it would not support my model to gain access to some sort of configuration page. Any help on this one? Thanks, GSolvedExtender + switch ethernet
Riscontro porgo cordiali salutiSolvedreestablishing SMB-Connections lasts up to 30 minutes
Hi, I've a 314 NAS (mounted as drive M:\) behind a HP-Procurve-Switch, for some reasons (ransomwareprotection) I disconnect that certain switch port by snmp-command - thats no problem. Later then I reestablish that connection - switching that certain switch-port on. Then it lasts between 10 and 30 minutes, till I can access the NAS by drive-Letter which is M:\. Interesting is, that after switching the Procurve-Switchport on, I can access that NAS Admin-Page immediatelly, but why not the drive M: which is connected via SMB to my Windows system. Whats the reason for that behaviour and/or is there configuration to improve - shorten that time afer switching port on an ability to connect to M:\ - the situation ? J.B.SolvedGS748T sfp port issue

Hello to anyone taking the time to read this. I have close to a dozen netgear GS1xxE switches at my home and various family member's homes by now and swear by the things. Vlan tagging is a must for our various setups and these switches haven't disapointed yet. However , when it comes to configuring them, the fact one is incapable of selecting the vlan on which the things do their DHCP negotiating forces me to use fixed IP's. In essence this isn't all that bad. But knowing adding this to the firmware isn't something unreasonable to ask I would like to know how I would best go about asking this to Netgear. http://i.imgur.com/JZEvBx4.png http://i.imgur.com/p9evrYY.png Thank you for any reply.SolvedNetgear gs108ev3 Internet Probleme
Also Internet abbricht.
Buongiorno a tutti! Grazie ancora in anticipo a chi risponderà!Solved5.7KViews0likes5CommentsMultiple radius authentication on the same port - 802.1x M5300
Hi, I'm setting up 802.1x on our M5300 switch and I wanted to let my computers plugged on my ip phones. I wanted to know how to set up my switch to allow two different authentication on the same port, one for the phone taged on voice vlan and one for the computer untaged on data vlan. I found the 'multi-domain' option on cisco switches which seems to do what I want, is she available on M5300 switches ? Thanks for ur answers, Best regards,Solved5.3KViews0likes3CommentsStatic IPs through router as switch with Ubuntu Server
So I have an router and network setup and running fine. port forwarding and static ip is working just fine on my Ubuntu server box, but the ports are full and I need to run the box off a switch now. So I took an old netgear router and set it up as a switch (dynamic ip windows10 pc running through switch fine) but my Server box just won't connect, the light on the router doesn't even light up to say they are communicating. (all the cabling and ports are fine) I am assuming it has something to do with the static ip address, I have added a static route (I also do not know for sure if I am fililng it out right / even if this is something I need to be doing) the set up for the static route has the destination ip set the the ip i am trying to make static and subnet is 255 for all then gateway is the gateway ip and i used metric of 2. thanks for any help.SolvedM5300 stack firmware upgrade
Hello, My firm currently utilizes Netgear M5300-28G_POE+ switches in a stacked group of 10 devices. We are currently at firmware level 10.0.0.44, and I've been tasked to: a) Update to latest firmware {11.0.0.31} b) Add the company certificate (to avoid the initial https error message) (Is it better to use the company wildcard certificate or the switches selfsigned certificate?) c) Switch access from http, to https Couple questions I have regarding the firmware upgrade are: 1) Is the best way to do this to upgrade one switch at a time? If I reboot the initial switch (management switch) will I reboot the entire stack? 2) Should I add the firmware to all switches before rebooting any switches, then reboot all switches at the same time? This way all the switches will come up simultaneously. 3) Please share your thoughts and let me know if there is a document that details out how best to do this. Thank youSolved4.8KViews0likes6Comments
