Slow Satellite 2 Speeds
Hello, one more issue to resolve.
I get wifi speeds of 4-600 beside router, and beside sat 1.
Beside sat 2 I'm only seeing around 100 sometimes 120 ish.
Is this normal? Should the full speed not carry throughout ?
I noticed moving sat 2 further away helped me with 30 Mbps or so more, even though both location's showed GOOD with 5ghz connections..
Router >sat 1>sat 2
Router FRONT of house against wall basement
Sat 1 BACK of house against wall main floor
Sat 2 BACK of garage (farthest possible from sat 1)
The issue is with speeds at sat 2.
Tech had me change threshold to 2103 on both networks
Daisy chain ,Mimi, fast roaming and beamforcing all ENABLED
On channel 11/40
MTU size 1468.
Any help greatly appreciated

- I haven't done a factory reset since before this new modem, tech had me setup dynamic IP to see if it solved the issue but it ended up being the modem.
Router and sat 1 speeds are fine it's just sat 2.
Would this be something I should try - Still having this issue, 500 Mbps at router and sat 1 and barely 100 at sat 2.. all showing good backhaul
- Factory reset and it didn't change a thing besides getting poor signal over sat 2.
Changed MTU back to 1468 fast,mimo,beam all enabled , threshold 2301 .
Sat 2 showing good again 5ghz.. max speeds 100 ish.. 500+ at router and sat 1.
- Sat 2 keeps going from 5g good with 170 Mbps to 2.4 GHz under 100 Mbps .
2.4 transmit power is 25 percent..?? Help pleaseWhat is the distance between Sat 1 and Sat 2?

What happens if you turn OFF both RBS, swap Sat 1 and Sat 2 locations?Is the transmit power on the RBR set for 100%?
- Distance between sat 1 and 2 is prob 39 ft with brick wall in way ( sat 1 in window basement facing garage where sat 2 is )
And it seemed moving sat 2 closer to say 1 gave even worse speeds . It's now farthest in garage just always goes back to 2.4
Daisy chain enabled , fast enabled, 20/40 unticked, mimo enabled beamforcing enabled.
Transmit power is 25 on 2.4 and 100 on 5.
Have tried swapping
- I disable 20/40 hit save it shows good then goes back to poor
- Today I recieved a replacement satellite, still connects to satellite 1 with poor connection even though the light is blue on-top of the new sat.
I get 520mbps sitting on my back patio from sat 1 .. I'm literally 20 ft from sat 2 and I get poor connection..not sure what to do next - I even moved it right beside the doorway, came up blue with good backhaul, two mins later went to poor..try new firmware I guess.
I get better speed when it's the furthest point in my garage ? Both poor.
Edit I guess there is no new firmware everything is up to date must of been the new sat syncing..
Any help is greatly appreciatedWhat happens if you place new SAT where SAT1 is and place SAT1 where new at is. Does SAT1 experience the same condition?
- Yes just spent another 2 hours on phone before had to leave for work resyncing and swapping satellites..
600 ish at router..4-500 at sat 1 and sat 2 highest 150, and it also seems wifi is intermittent..one minute I get 4-600 at router and then next every sat and router gets 20-30 even reconnecting device ..then a bit after it goes back..then back down ?
- Am I able to get a refund for this product? I'm quite fed up, at first it was booting me offline every 5 minutes..that's solved... And now I can't get any good speeds out of sat 2 location, aswell as every sat and router dropping to 20-30mbps, even after reconnecting the device and testing again
- I've had it with this product supposed to receive calls back from supervisor's and don't, and it's back to dropping my internet connection after switching to replacement router .. this is not for me
- I'll never buy another Netgear product again , $400 well wasted. 2 call backs I was supposed to recieve from someone who knows what their talking about...50 minutes on the god dam phone now this guy hasn't even started to help me , just keeps me on hold !!!

Good backhaul status could be misleading in your setup because Orbi's backhaul signal strength is the most important factor in determining each satellite wireless speed. Given both satellite-1 and satellite-2 have good backhaul status, satellite-2 could be suffering from weak bakchaul signal. Please check out this post on how to verify your Orbi's backhaul signal strength and its link rate to each satellite. Try to move satellite-2 around until you get a good backhaul signal strength.

I am fidgeting with placement at the moment starting with sat 1 leaving for ten minutes each time.. waiting for a good. Will report backDoes swapping RBS around show the same problem were SAT1 is place? Just seeing if any RBS placed where sat 1 is exhibits this same issue.
