Why does Orbi satellite light come on at random times during the day? RBK30
I've had the Orbi for about a week now. It seems to work fine but I am noticing the satellite light (at the top in an oval) comes on at random times.
Does that mean there is a problem? Also, how can I measure the wireless signal strength to determine if I have placed the satellite in the best location in my home?
Please help. Thanks.

What color is the light? Review the user manua to see what the colors mean.
What is the distance between the router and satellite? Too close or too far could be an issue.
It's a solid blue light. I understand that is good.
Just wondering what triggers the light to come on? Any idea?

Interferences and temporary loss of signal from the Orbi router possibily. What is the distance between the router and satellite? Too close or too far could be an issue.

What is the distance between the router and satellite currently?
The router is on one end of my house and the satelite on the other. I'd guess about 50 feet.

I would try moving it closer and see. I have similar placement however mines about 40 feet.

How big is this home?
Mines 5000sq feet, router at one end and 1 satellite at the other end, 40ft est. distance in between. I have coverage inside and out side all over. No dead spots where there were a couple or very low signal when using a single router.
4500 sq ft. the Orbi router in the basement and the satelite in my home office which is the problem room for wifi in my home.
it does appear to be working fine. however, the light coming on the satelite every day is a bit annoying.
is there a way to measure if the wifi signal is dropping every time the light comes on?

Any chance of getting the router out of the basement on to the main floor by chance?
Or move the orbi satellite a bit closer. Like I said, could be anything that mabye causing the satellite to quicky drop or reconnect fast thus triggering the Blue LED. You can moved the satellite back.
Might even do a factory reset on the satellite and re-add it and see if it continues to appear.
Log in to orbilogin.com and from there you can se the signal status between router and satelite.
I logged into Orbilogin.com but can't find that screen.
What setting do I use to find signal between router and satellite?
Please help. Thanks.
