Does anyone have the latest firmware for this device, Netgear support will not provide it.

We are going to release a new FW update early next week. Please standby,
Same problem here - it gets stuck and nothing progresses after "Checking for updates...".

Yes, we have the "unlocked" Non-Telsra European version. We can put any sim card in it.

Its a total joke on Netgears behalf then if theres people all with the same updates but got different functions. Does anyone know of a good comparable modem or router that'll take a sim and do the I.P. passthrough without all these problems? Ideally with remote access like nighthawk has. i'm looking for something stable too that doesn't need rebooting every day as its for my alarm and security on my house when I'm away for long spells. NBN in my area is a joke so have to be on the 4G.

Hi, I'm in the UK on EE with the following:
Firmware: NTGX24_10.13.09.00
Firmware build date: 2019/05/17
PRI: 03.01
Modem: SDX_10.21.01.01
Can you confirm if this is the latest firmare for this device please? I'd be surprised if it is. Main reason I ask is that I get the reboot issue/bootloop issue on occasion (plugged into USB-C charger, no battery inserted). It's a little bit frustrating really and I want to get this resolved or the device needs to go back.
Thanks very much.

smiff1985 you'd better to check if your charger supports QC3.0, especially on its rated 5V current number.
- smiff1985InitiateAre you suggesting that I'm not supplying enough power? I very much doubt that is the issue I'm afraid.
First, I often use the official charger and cable. I'm not checking anything further on that as it's Netgear's own.
I've tried it in various combinations with other chargers.
All my other chargers support either or both QC and USB-PD.
It's important to note that the official Netgear charger is a USB-A (wall plug end) to USB-C (M2 end). This charger only outputs at 2.0A at 5V, so the device doesn't require more than 10W. I use a USB-C to USB-C power point in my car which charges all my USB-C/lightning phones rapidly via USB-PD as I use an 18W output charger (Pixel 3 / iPhone XR / iPhone 11). So I doubt it's that either.
And judging from this forum I don't think I'm unique in the issues I'm facing. There's a whole thread on reboot issues with the M2. When it doesn't reboot, it works really damn well. My main issue is that it's really unreliable.

For M2 Upgrade issue, please try connecting via WiFi or Ethernet offline first. Then do the upgrade check.
The latest M2 EUS FW is 10.17.08.00 and PRI 05.04

Hi ... bought a refurbed, unlocked M2 from Amazon ... looks like normal UK firmware but John Peng's post intimates there is a new one ?
From scanning the posts it looks like EE blocks the firmware update process (pain as that's my network with a spare PAYG sim) - but if I stick my wife's Tesco/O2 sim in is still sits and spins on the checking firmware option ...
Do I need a genuine O2 data sim to get it to go through and check properly ?
Annoying there's no sideload via the usb port ?

Based on the screenshot, your device is MR2100-100EUS. There is a newer update for the device now. If you have the issue to check for update using SIM card, please try check for update when connecting through WiFi or Ethernet offloading.
Thanks
- BSL81Tutorhow do i manually reset the firmware of a device to netgear standard. i have a telstra device and i want to move carriers and need to restore to a netgear default.
- W1lliamVirtuosoThere is no generic stock firmware for Telstra model, you can only get it unlocked with the carrier before moving to other carrier
- BSL81Tutorthanks, ive requested to have it unlocked by telstra already but it will still have their firmware. i also read and it may be mistaken that a further firmware update it wipes the unlock.
will the modem be usable by another carrier that doesnt directly sell the m2? e.g. if i plug in my optus sim will it work?
