Thought I would post a follow-up to my "Can't Unstack" thread.
The trick seems to be that you can DELETE a switch from the stack (System>Stacking>Advanced>Stack Configuration) if you boot the stack manager switch WITHOUT the switch(es) you want to delete connected to the stack manager, and the switch(es) status in the stack shows as "not present". If the switch(es) you want to delete are active members of the stack, you can't delete them.
