Cloning or backing up and restoring a stack to another stack?

Hello,

I'm setting up 4 floors of M4300 - 2 x 52 and 1 x 28.    What is the easiest way to do it?

I have one stack ready to go but the other three won't be arriving for a few days.

I plan on putting them all on the same firmware before I do anything.

Should I just reset all the new switches to factory defaults and then clone switch 1 to 1 for the next floor and 2 to 2  and 3 to 3 or should I do the entire stack at a time?

Any suggestions would be appreciatated.

  • For anyone wondering - I used the GUI to back up to text. Set up the new stack with cables - reset all to factory defaults and then restored once I connected to the new stack. It worked.
