22 TopicsM4350 core duo, stack & dante AES67.
Hello everyone. We want to secure our audio infrastructure (private lan) by creating redundancy at the level of the two M4350-12X12F core switches, which are responsible for managing and distributing the other M4300-52G switches, linked to dante and green go devices. We have set up four VLANs, including one for Dante (which will need to support AES67 in the future). What i found on documentation : It seems inadvisable to create a stack of two core switches when using Dante AES67, and it does not appear possible to create an MLAG for the M4350 versions. What is the best solution for creating redundancy at the level of my two M4350 core switches? Is it the implementation of a VRRP for the VLAN IP addresses? Thank you for your feedback. M4300 (GSM4328S) spuriously after powering up, shows power led amber on, and stucks. Need to disconnect and connect again power supply, and then works. I don't know if someone is experiencing this issue. Maybe is a hardware issue. We are using lots of those switches for several different projects in our company, and we are experiencing in the last purchased units (more than 20) this upsetting issue. We don't know how we can diagnose the problem. Anyone could help us?24Views0likes1CommentM4300 SNMP zabbix problem
Dear All! I tried to start to monitor my netgear switches, and on the server i choosed the built in netgate template. Works fine expected two things, the psu and the fan recognize is false, found a few threads about this but no solution. At mapping i see this: The switch default state is two, so thats noot good, and if i try to snmpwalk th oid i get only 1 and 2 for value if im doing it good. The fan state is fan 0: 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.43.1.6.1.3.1.0 and gets 2 what is fault in the value, but cannot figure out what is the correct value. Now to solve the problem in the mapping i switch operational and failed value, and in the macro set the fault to 1, now its reports okay but im not sure its 100% will work when i have a fan error. PSU the problem i have is the psu0 has problem and i dont know why.98Views0likes2CommentsM4300 routing table Next Hop is Mgmt IP
Apologies for the dumb question: I have two M4300's stacked together with three VLANs configured. VLAN 10 has range 10.0.10.0/24, the gateway is (supposed to be) 10.0.10.1 and the management interface is at 10.0.10.252. However, the routing table for 10.0.10.0 shows the next hop as 10.0.10.252 which must have been set when I chose that IP for the management interface. I was expecting it to be the gateway not the management interface? In "IPv4 Management VLAN Configuration", The management VLAN is 10, Routing Mode is enabled, the IP Address/Subnet Mask are as above and the Gateway is 10.0.10.1. I can ping devices on VLAN10 including the management interface, but not the Gateway. Neither can I ping anything on the other VLANs. Is this normal or have I messed up my config somehow?34Views0likes2CommentsM4350 - How do I disable auto vlan 1 on a port?

I've been looking at adding my M4250 to our Insight account, along with our access points. Instructions state that I need to goto Management, Sys Info, and enable Insight management. But that feature is not present. My firmware is current (13.0.5.16). I'm wondering if my hardware version is not supported? Anybody run into this?Solved55Views0likes2CommentsM4300 - OpenSSH < 9.3p2 Vulnerability
Hello all, Currently using Firmware version 12.0.19.7 on a fleet of M4300 switches. Against a independent vulnerability scan of these, it has shown up they are showing having SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_8.0 installed and it would require at least 9.3p2 / 9.4 installed to resolve this. Due to this, I have had to disable SSH for the time being which means I no longer have access into the command line easily. Looking at future firmware releases, there is no mention of this being fixed and as such I cannot update my fleet unless I know this issue will be resolved. Does anyone at Netgear/ Community member know about this problem and its resolution path?59Views0likes1CommentRequest: List of Products That Perform Cryptographic Key Provisioning
We are reviewing your networking products for internal compliance purposes. Could you please confirm which of your hardware-based products (e.g., switches, routers, relays, gateways) include any of the following cryptographic functions: Provisioning or distribution of encryption keys to other devices Acting as a MACsec Key Server (e.g., providing CAKs/SAKs to peers via MKA) Providing IPsec/IKEv2 key exchange for other systems Embedded EAP/PKI certificate provisioning or CA functions Managing network-wide encryption policies or certificate trust for other devices We are not asking about encryption used only for login/authentication (e.g., HTTPS, SNMPv3, 802.1X), or encryption used solely for the unit’s own interfaces. This request is limited to cases where the product provides or manages encryption on behalf of other devices. If possible, please provide a list or matrix identifying which models include any of the above features. Any documentation that describes these capabilities would also be appreciated. Thank you for your support.15Views0likes0Comments
