Diagnose power supply
Hi,
is there a way to diagnose the powersupply (APS135W)? My switch (Prosafe M5300-52G3) died on me and before I buy a new powersupply, I want to make sure, it is actually the defective part...
Are there any voltages and currents to confirm on the pins?
Regards

Hello Cold-1,
Welcome to the community!
I did try to look for some testing methods on how to diagnose the APS but I did not find any solid way to test it. Basically, the best way is just to try and test another power supply.
Thanks,

Hi JohnRo,
thank you for the quick response. I found a replacement PSU on ebay for little money. I will test it with this one and if it works, I will also put my measurements here.
My switch has actual "Netgear lifetime" waranty until 2034 but since I bought the switch from the original owner, this waranty seams to be void (I never understood by which logic a owner transfer shoud have an influence in waranty, but that's another topic).

Hi Cold-1,
I am looking forward to the information regarding the measurements, I'm pretty sure that will help a lot of members here in the community. For the warranty, it is non-transferable and the serial number can only be registered once. If it was purchased from another person it will be considered as refurbished, lifetime warranty is covered as long as the unit is purchased from our authorized re-sellers. Thanks,
