GS316EP - Disable IGMP Snooping on a single port?
Hello - Can I disable IGMP snooping on just a single port on the GS316EP? I want to leave it on for the rest of the ports. Thanks!

I have 1 of my 14 devices that won’t work on my LAN when Snooping is enabled. I am forced to use WiFi because of this. The tech support representing this device has confirmed their product won’t be recognized unless Snooping is turned off.

Slightly over the head for my old engineering brain. A device or node not able to deal with IGMP won't (or must not!) join a Multicast group, but does it regardless? If it does not join, the heavy Multicast won't hit that port. Do I miss something essential?
Please tell us a little bit more about the device in question.
- vinyladdictFeb 08, 2024AspirantThanks. I’m not a network engineer and can’t answer your question. It’s a BlueSound NODE (N130) music streamer. If there is an affordable Netgear managed switch that you recommend that can disable snooping at the port level I’d appreciate it. I don’t want to turn it off for my whole network.

Don't have the exact feature sets and controls in my head anymore since suffering from two strokes some 20 months ago.
Already the small GS108Tv3 GS110TPv3 GS110TPP Smart Switches for example (User Manual linked for courtesy to the interested readers) do allow enabling/disabling IGMP Multicast (as well as MLD) by interface. Yes, screenshot taken from the bigger and much more powerful MS510TXUP, but hey, you get the idea.
Switching -> Multicast -> IGMP Snooping Interface Configuration
