GSM7328Sv2 firmware updating failed
I have a problem updating the firmware on a GSM7328Sv2 switch from 8.0.3.11 to 10.0.0.19. When I attempt the update using the http method I get a message saying the file transfer process failed.
Do I have to install the previous firmware versions: 8.0.3.15, 8.0.3.25, and 8.0.3.34 before I can install the latest 10.0.0.19 version?

- aditMentorIn theory you shouldn't. I would upgrade to the latest 8.x firmware to see if that upgrade is even working. I didn't verify whether the 10.x firmware is for your switch.

Warning! This firmware image is not compatible with the follow products:
GSM7328Sv1 (serial number starts with 18K, 1J8)
GSM7352Sv1 (serial number starts with 18J, 1J9)
GSM7328FSv1 (serial number starts with 1
download and look at NOTES attached in the ZIP file. Above statement was in the ZIP file >html notes.
Looks like you should able to but you may need to use 8.0.3.34 before you can go 10. - bemkeAspirantThank you for your responses!
The switch is version 2 (confirmed by comparing the starting characters of the serial number).
I will try installing version 8.0.3.34 and see what happens. If successful then I can try installing version 10.0.0.9 again. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoI had some FSM series switch that would not take firmware until I did step up one by one..
On that notes I have still difficult to get latest one on my switch but all working as is so I just forget pursuing the latest but I got close to it.. :) - bemkeAspirantI was able to successfully update the GSM7328Sv2 switch from version 8.0.3.11 to 8.0.3.34. I will try updating this switch to version 10.0.0.19 at my next maintenance window which will be tomorrow at 12:00 pm EST.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoGood progresss... hope it will work ! :)
- bemkeAspirantWell, the attempt to update the switch's firmware from 8.0.3.34 to 10.0.0.19 didn't work. I got a message saying "Archive file download through HTTP is failed."
I will call Netgear support for further assistance with this issue. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoHave you done TFTP method?
