JGS524PE Fan
Hi,
Has anyone else had a problem with the Fan light coming on after about 12-18 hours of the JGS524PE Switch running? The Fan seems operational still and I haven't noticed any other problems as a result. Turning the switch off and then back on starts with the Fan light off then back on after a period of time.
Am running the latest firmware on the device.
Thanks.

Hello jsbrown,
Welcome to the community!
My advice is to contact support for this, the FAN light should be off on Normal Operation. It will only light up when it is about to fail or it has already failed. If the fans are still running even though the FAN light is on it could also be a firmware corruption. Try updating/reflash the firmware version of your switch and see if it will get rid of the FAN light issue. Download here.
Thanks,

Hi JohnRo,
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I have been trying them but have had no wins unfortunately. The Fan light will come on after a number hours when restarting the switch. I have tried this with older firmware, again upgraded to the latest firmware and with factory default settings.
Cheers.

Hi jsbrown,
If that is the case then the Fan could be dying since the LED for FAN only turns on on fan failure. It may still seem to work but probably the fan speed may not be consistent. I suggest opening a ticket to have the switch replaced. You may contact our Support Team for this.
Thanks,
