XS708T 10G/1000M Long Auto Negotiation
Hi guys,
I have a XS708T 10G switch for communicating to 2-4 ethernet cameras at a time. The cameras can either be 10G enabled or 1G only, but i have noticed during the camera boot up, the auto negotiation of the switch can take minutes before it finalizes on a rate and connects to the PC. This happens even if i force the ports into 10G or 1000M.
If i go directly into the PCI ethernet card, camera connects immediately and I have no problem. I do need these to be networked though, but its extremely unreliable at this point.
has anybody else seen this, any ideas?

Hi leedenaro
One of the reasons why the auto-negotitaion could take longer than expected is that you have some security mechanisms like STP or Port Authentication enabled in the swtich , so when you plug the cameras the switch also verify that the device will not introduce potential issues into your network.
Could you check that you don't have the SPT (Switching-SPT) enabled or any Port Security?
Hope it Helps
