Yamaha DM7 and Netgear AV

Hello to all. I have some problem with Yamaha DM7 and Rios's in shared Dante network with other devices. Everything looks fine except Yamaha's dante devices rack mount. All devices are showed in Virtual mode, but works good, audio passes, preamp control is already ok, but I can't patch directly from Yamaha. When connected straight without Netgear switch everything works fine. Was trying Dante, Shure profiles - no success. At the moment there is only primary network with devices in switched mode. All other devices in the network are good, included dante audio and control data in the same network.

Thank you for your minds.

    Hello KestutisD ,

Sorry for the short reply, please do the following, and if no success, please come to us sending an email at ProAVDesign@netgear.com.

Please use the Audio Dante template on VLAN1, or the Audio Dante Profile on the VLAN where all the Dante is connected. It is possible that on the ports connecting to the Yamaha devices, we need to do two things:

1/ Disable STP Mode on these ports

2/ Disable Broadcast Storm Control on these ports

You can easily these two things directly in the table \Configure\Port Configuration in the AV User Interface (AV UI).

If you don't see the table (like an excel spreadsheet) there, please upgrade the switch to the latest firmware here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/m4250/#download

After changing these two parameters in the table for each port connecting to Yamaha faulty devices, please apply. If successful, then please save the configuration on the upper right!

    Thank you,

      Hi LaurentMa,

Thank you very much for your help, unfortunately this doesn't help at this time. But what I didn't mentioned above, in my setup I have three AV 4250 switches, one main and two slaves. They're connected by fiber. Today I have found, that when I'm unplugging slave switches - Yamaha starts working. (All Yamaha devices are plugged in to main switch). Maybe I need some special configuration between switches? At the moment all they are in auto trunk mode. One more time, everything works fine from all switches except Yamaha's device rack control for Rio's. (they are in virtual mode when plugged through switch).

Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you. The problem can come from multiple factors (unsupported fiber modules, misconfiguration, etc )

We will need the tech support file out of each switch (AV UI Diagnostics/Support Diagnostics) and an email to proavdesign@netgear.com

Better, you can onboard the switches into the Engage controller (free download at www.netgear.com/Engage) and there is a support tab providing the tech support files of all switches at once.

Please email the team, and one Engineer will get back to you with the solution
