Netgear FS728TPv2 PNP
Can I just use Netgear FS728TPv2 as plug and play without using the configuration control center... just need the switch to power a couple poe cameras added to my home network.

Can I use the Netgear FS728TPv2 as a simple plug N play switch for a home network? if so. Do I have to have the software to disable any settings in the switch. I need the switch for POE cameras. I hope this question is pretty clear

One quick question . Can I connect poe and non poe devices to the switch without having to disable power to the ports that will not be connected to poe devices. The manual doesn't really describe this process

This is part of the standard for IEEE PoE - there won't be power applied if there is a standard non-PoE device plugged.

Yes. I'd check documentation of the switch and cameras to ensure if POE can be serviced with little or no user configurations needed. Some maybe needed.

The reolink cameras are plug N play.. I just now have to figure out how to get the switch to go into "open mode"... (meaning do I have to configure it with software or just reset it)

With the default config, there is no port security, no ACL, no 802.1x - works like any generic (unmanaged) switch.
