NETGEAR GS110TP-200EUS ProSAFE 8-Port switch probable fault one port
Hi
I have had this managed switch for many years. Now it is used to supply POE for a number of CCTV cameras only. The typical power usage....
can be seen above. The software / firmware used....
the typical fault can be to port number 6. It will stop providing power or any of the cameras connected to it will no longer work, not be detectable within SADP tools, simply not online. The other ports seem to be fine.
To confirm the issue being when POE injection is needed for that port.
Sometimes a reboot will start it to work, other times not.
I can no longer display a device view due to historical Java issues with not being able to do, that would show POE and power usage per port.
I bought the switch orginally from Amazon in the UK.
Any ideas..?
Thanks

Have you swapped around what is connected to port 6 with a different PoE device to see if same thing happens with a different device connected to port 6?
Swap out LAN cabling? CAT6 would be recommended.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been tried?

Thanks. External grade CAT 6 cabling used throughout. Devices swapped and POE switch factory reset.
I gave up with that POE Switch now, it was becoming redundant due to its low overall power output compared to what now can be bought.
To replace it is a Netgear GS308EPP switch with an overall 123w capacity.
The venerable previous switch will be retired from POE usage.
In some ways the information offered from the UI of the newer switch is worse than that of the older one...!
Newer is not always better, in every way...!
Thanks again for your reply.
Good luck and enjoy.
