Problems connecting Netgear XS748T to Ubiquiti UniFi US-48-750W via SFP+ Port
We purchased a new Netgear XS748T switch and are trying to connect it to our existing network that consists of several Ubiquiti UniFi US-48-750W switches and we are trying to connect them using the 10GB SFP+ ports on both switches. We have a Direct Link SFP+ to SFP+ DAC, Passive, 1-meter, AWG30 Cable we purchased from Amazon / 10Gtek and when we try to use this cable between the Ubiquiti switch and the Netgear we get no link activity.
However if we use the same cable between two of the Ubiquiti switches it lights up right away and works fine, the same is true if we use the same SFP+ cable between the Netgear XS748T switch and a XS728T switch that we also have. Its almost like the switches detect the same manufacturer on the other end and link right up but when its another manufacturer switch on the other end it does nothing.
This is very aggravating and Im going to be forced to return the new Netgear switches. Can anyone give a suggestion or confirm if they should or cant work? Simply linking the switches together using a Copper cable works fine but since our existing switches only support 1GB via Copper it doesnt provide enough bandwidth for our use so we really need the 10GB SFP+ port to give us the uplink.
Here is a link to the SFP+ modules / cable we purchased:

It appears that I solved the problem myself. I purchased a set of:
10Gtek for Cisco SFP-10G-LR, 10Gb/s SFP+ Transceiver module 1310nm, 10kmAnd the LR version worked instantly. I honestly don't know what the difference is between an SR SFP+ module and an LR SFP+ module but for whatever reasons the LR module allowed these two switches to connect.
Here are links to the modules and cable used in case anyone else needs a solution to this:

Hi bluefoot,
Welcome to the community! :)
I don't think there is a problem with the Direct Link SFP+ to SFP+ DAC, Passive, 1-meter, AWG30 cable. However, for unknown reason, it seems that there is a compatibility issue between the XS748T and the Ubiquiti switch.

- LaurentMaNETGEAR ExpertHi bluefoot
We need to troubleshoot this incompatibility.
Would you provide us with what is displayed in Port Configuration table for that given port in XS748T?
(Switching > Ports > Port Configuration)
Then provide us with the content from Port Statistics for that port (Monitoring > Ports > Port Statistics).
And finally Detailed Port Statistics for that port as well (Monitoring > Ports > Port Detailed Statistics).
If you prefer, we can also open a case at Technical Support and remotely log into your installation.
We are taking interop issues very seriously and we are going to procure this Ubiquiti switch as well. But let us know how best we can help you right now.

Can you provide instructions on how to send you the information you need? Also I have a support ticket open now support case #27493151

Thank you. Now that you have Technical Support opened case, we are going to take it simply from there.
After the troubleshooting, we will recapitulate actions taken and output here in this ticket, so that it can serve the Community.
