Nighthawk App Speed test is not working properly
The NIGHTHAWK APP Speedtest is not working properly on my iPhone 8 Plus. The download speeds are 0.00 upload speeds are ok. When I take a speedtest using OoklNIGHTHAWK APP SPEED TEST RESULTSNIGHTHAWK APP SPEED TEST HISTORYa, etc my internet speed is fine... download 86+ Mbps upload 11 Mbps...
Is anyone else experiencing issues with their app?

The speed test is run on the router, not on the mobile device - the App is just the controller, reading and displaying the test results and the history from the router. Unless all Nighthawk App on iOS show the 0.00 on the download side (there would be more reports) this looks more like an interoperability problem with the router model/firmware. In the App, go to the Main/Home menu and select -> About. Provide exact router model, router firmware, and App version (or an About screenshot) so Netgear can investigate.
AC1600 Smart Wifi Router Product R6260...this is removed from the choices above so I had to manually input this...maybe many people are having issues with this model????

...or simply not added (yet) to the product lists. There was just an update of the product lists going on these days as we have seen some test formatted lists temporarily - ChristineT can you please ensure that all newer routers are added here (and not only Nighthawk routers, as also non-Nighthawk-routers can be used with the Nighthawk App. Confusion by marketing complete.
- Kilika702AspirantThe Netgear App do not show the download speed result for my AC2400 that I just purchased

I'm having the same problem.

Same, but different router model R6900 (as per the tag), firmware version, ... and confirm you get zeros in the History tab for the download side, too?
- DehaiglerInitiateI am having the same issue
- KrastonTutorDitto....I am having same problem. I sent an email to the app developer about two weeks ago, but have not heard anything back yet.

I'm having the same problem. Router on its latest version of the firmware and iOS also latest version.

- dbradley7AspirantAc2400 not testing the download speed.
AC2400 is a wifi speed indicator, not a Netgear model number.
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

You can be wrong my friend ... look here -> Nighthawk AC2400 Smart WiFi Router
- nhennenAspirantSame issue with my Nighthawk AC2600 Smart WiFi Router. Just picked it up from Walmart from the Cyber Monday deal.
Hardware: R7450
Firmware: 1.2.0.32- tontod1Aspirant
Same model (R7450) and firmware (1.2.0.32) having the issue with me. Seems like widespread issue to me
By a strange quirk, in the R7800 speedtest works in the Android Nighthawk App. But it is broken in the browser interface, the QoS bit.
It also works in the Windows desktop genie.
- nhennenAspirantPerhaps relevant: I am using an iPhone 7 with iOS 12.1 installed
- sewmanAspirantI am having some issue with galaxy S9.
- Kilika702AspirantIt appears to be a glitch with the phone app itself. I have used the three menas to test the connection speed such as Ring Doorbell App and able to have download and upload speeds.
There’s additional glitches that I came across with the Netgear App. Smart Connect suppose manage which devices utilize which speed. When smart connect is switched on, the devices that run on slower connection speed gets dropped off the list. After spending more than an hour with Netgear’s tech support in the Philippines, I was told the smart connect feature is broken.
- Kilika702AspirantIt appears the Nighthawk app has numerous glitches. Along with unable to test download speed, the guest WIFI feature always says “cant find router” when I am attempting to allow guest access. I would have to close out to the Nighthawk app and log back in. After logging back in the guest access feature is on.

After logging back in the guest access feature is on.Disabling and enabling the guest access does (like various other wireless admin actions) temporary disable the wireless radio on the most (likely all) Nighthawk routers (or for the sake of it also the Netgear R6xx, Cable, and DSL routers), regardless if using the Web based Genie, the Genie App, or the Nighthawk App.

Hi all,
Latest update from engineering is that the fix will be available on the next firmware release for the affected models. Please make sure that your device firmware is up to date if you haven't checked yet.
