PS5 Playstation plus Streaming PS3 Games

Hello I have a PS5 connected to a XR1000 by Ethernet & recently I have upgraded my PS Plus subscription to also include streaming of PS3 games but I get the following error:

"Can't connect to the server right now. check your internet connection & firewall configurations and try again .Also ,make sure your firewall & router are set to allow outgoing traffic via ports 2053,3478,3479 or 3658".

Could someone please advise me on how to make the above changes to allow this.

I have no trouble accessing the PS network store & gaming online.

Many thanks

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Nighthawk Pro Gaming Routers - NETGEAR Communities

Gaming routers have their own DumaOS operating system that is nothing like the one on Netgear's standard routers.

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

No need. This place is a mess and it is easy to get lost.

I didn't want you sitting around waiting for someone to find your message.

Can you go to the XR1000 interface by opening a web browser and going to routerlogin.net.

Here, login and go to Settings -> Setup -> WAN Setup and check that UPnP is enabled and then set the Filtering type to Open.

After that, see if you're able to stream games.

Hi Yousif1  yes I've done that It appears to be related to the Geo filter that's causing the issue. Thanks

In WAN Settings on the router switch NAT to Open, then see if you get the same issue.
