can't use orbi app, won't accept default password, logon times out
after resetting Orbi Router RBR50v2, I can't use the Orbi app it won't accept the default password, it says 'logon timed out'. Rebooting the router, or resetting it again does not help.
BUT my phone and my laptop CAN see the Orbi, so the wifi is fine, it's the app
I have an iPhone SE version2 (2020) , iOS 18.4

not sure I understand, the problem is with the iOS app, and nothing will connect to the internet with the default user/password, but I guess I'll try plugging my lapotp with ethernet and a browser....
Set up the Orbi system using your laptop and browser as suggested in the linked information. Once it's setup then try connecting with Orbi app.
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

I'm having the same problem. Web UI works fine, but mobile app all of a sudden started telling me the logon timed out. I've tried all the reinstall / reboot fixes on this thread and others, too. Nothing works. It was working okay about a week ago and nothing has changed - I didn't reset the router or change a password or anything like that. BUT I upgraded to iOS 18.4 on my iPhone. I'm guessing the app might have a problem with iOS 18.4.
I'm hoping this is just a temporary bug on the app. I reported it in the App Store and using the "shake phone" option to report the app bug (shake phone when it shows the error message). Just letting you know others have the problem, too. Hope they fix it soon. I have an RBR20 router.
Hi, I just found out that the ORBI app needs to get an upgrade, as it is not working on IOS18.4
I just upgraded from my ‘old’ iPhone14PLUS to my new iPhone 16.
Migrated all the apps and settings and all worked fine, except the ORBI app.
The app showed that I am connected to the ORBI router but timed out when I entered the admin credentials (which are working when I logon via the web-interface).
The ‘old’ iPhone was still working and also the ORBI worked fine on that device.
I upgraded the IOS on the ‘old’ iPhone from 18.3.2 to 18.4. guess what? The ORBI app stopped working on the ‘old’ iPhone as well.
Conclusion: ORBI app and IOS18.4 are not good friends 😊
@ Netgear: please have a look at the ORBI app and provide an update a.s.a.p. so we all can make use of this great app again.
Thanks in advance!

We're experiencing the same thing. Hope there is an update for the iOS app soon!
Orbi app version 2.43.2.1 is working on my iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 18.4 loaded connecting to my Orbi 870 series. Anywhere Access is working too.
FURRYe38 try Orbi app v 2.44.0. That's the version that stopped working with iOS 18.4 for me.
Ok, updated to v2.44.0, app still working for me on my phone and Orbi 870 series.

Just adding that I have the same issue.
- Can manage the Orbi through the web browser. No issues with the Orbi.
- Orbi app connects with Netgear; times out on local admin
- Router firmware is current
- Deleted and reinstalled the app (no change)
- Rebooted the Orbi (no change)
- Changed router admin password (no change)

Iphone 16. iOS 18.4.1.
Same issues.
Tried to add a satellite, but couldn’t log into the app on my phone. Used my wife’s phone (iOS 16) and it worked just fine. I can also do things fine through the browser, so I am not stranded, but it would be nice to check on my network with my phone rather than fire up my laptop.huh? can I control my orbi from a web browser? how?
but I still want to use the app again
my iPhone iOS is up to date
deleting and redownloading the app did not fix the issue
I gave up waiting for an update
I don't even remember how I got the router to work again
To use it from a browser, find its IP address (open a command prompt and type "ipconfig", the default gateway should be the routers address). Type that into a web browser. OR you can try routerlogin . net (remove the spaces). IF you're not in a double nat, that should get you to the login page.
I got a badge? 5 kudos? what is that good for? I don't want useless nonsense, I want my orbi app to work
