Orbi 770 satellites do not show up on network map even after turning blue

Hi. I have an orbi 770 tri-and which 1 main router + 2 satellites. The main router is functioning well. But the satellites after syncing with the router and turning blue, it still does not show up on the network map. No devices can connect to the satellites either. HELP!!!

  • Hello everyone. I've called Netgear support and got the help needed. The actual problem was that the firmware needing updating. Which is REALLY odd. I updated the firmware through the app and apparently that version was not the latest version. You'd need to get on the Netgear website to find the actual latest firmware. And it was a really long process of uploading the latest firmware to each satellite and then the router itself. Really unpleasant way to setup a new system but eventually sorted with the help of a call with Netgear. Must say the help through the phone was really good

Are you looking in the app or through the browser?
I'd highly recommend looking at the attached devices list through the browser. I've found that more accurate than the app

Do you have a device with a screen large enough to run the web management interface?

    (desktop, laptop, tablet?)

Unless there is a solid concrete wall between router and satellite, 12 feet of separation is not enough to create much of a difference in signal strength between router and satellite and devices, which may affect how devices determine which to use.  A simple experiment would be to move the satellite to at least a 30 ft. separation, place a WiFi device very close to the satellite, and see how it connects.

  • I have turned off armour and disabled mac address radomiser (I've set it to device Mac address). Still no luck

  • Hi. Currently rbs are connected wireless. The led does fully turn off after a minute of turning blue.

    Current firmware edition is v10.5.10.10

Router is connected to a modem from Internet service provider. Currently satellite is placed 12 feet from router

Are RBS wireless or ethernet connected to the RBR?

Does the front LED fully turn OFF after BLUE is seen?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, IPv6, Protection Engine, Traffic Meter.

Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:
